So if they set up a separate price saving presale for each weekend, would you fellow festival addicts buy passes for both without seeing the lineup for either? Why yes, yes I would. Assuming I can afford it. I've got faith in Snacks and I'm really confused by everyone's knee-jerk negative reaction to something that hasn't happened yet. I really think Julysquatch is going to pick up a bunch of acts from Primavera's lineup, which are always top-notch, it'll snag some of the big Summer tours as well.

They need to have a layaway plan, or a super saver deal for anybody that is willing to opt in to both weekends. Unfortunately we probably can't expect them to take the route other festivals do, because the whole thing is put together by Live Nation.

What if they had presale for both at the same time and announced a headliner for each weekend to help people decide? I know that it would be hard to pick a weekend based on the presence of one act, but it would help a bit.

I just booked off time for the July Sasquatch! Hopefully it's as good as the normal one.

I will be going to both weekends. I originally was not going to go to the Julysquatch because I will be turning 30 that weekend. Then my wife reminded me that Sasquatch is pretty much my favorite thing ever and why would I not want to celebrate there? Also, are there going to be fireworks? If so, I hope just controlled fireworks on the main stage or something. That would be crazy. If people try to bring them in the campground I think shit will burn to the ground.

I actually wasn't at the main stage for either of these guys, I just heard about it.

There were lots of fireworks in the campground last year! Either that or we ate some REALLY good candy.

Maysquatch probably wouldn't be so bad, but last year it was damn near 100 degrees at the Gorge by 4th of July weekend. All that dry grass and fireworks could be bad.

I've been in District 9 on the 4th of July and it was a fucking war zone. I honestly don't know how we didn't burn the place down. On the other hand, this was back in the 90s and I don't recall Eastern Washington being that flammable back then.

On the other hand, this was back in the 90s and I don't recall Eastern Washington being that flammable back then. Back in the Ozzfest days there were big bonfires, fireworks, and I even heard rumors about people lighting off explosives like dynamite or some shit. I was less safety cautious back then.

This was at Lollapalooza in '95. People were lighting of fertilizer bombs that didn't have any flash, but made a hell of a boom. My friends and I spent hours in the car tripping in mushrooms listening to the explosions and flashing the high beams at people walking by. It was hilarious in our minds, at least until or camp neighbors came over and threatened to kick our asses if we didn't knock it off.

The explosives I remember were from Ozzfest 99. Actually now that I think back I also remember hearing what sounded like gunshots in the distance, but that was the year when everybody just set up camp on the side of the highway because Gorge camping was full of DMB fans. That shit was even more lawless, and everybody was pissed.
