July 4th would be fine, but it needs to be two 4 day music fests, not 2 three days. If I can pull off bonnaroo in a giant fucking cape. I can deal with The Gorge on July 4th.

Leave it to the internet to complain about more Sasquatch. I'm alright with missing future Bonnaroo(s) for this.

I feel this could easily end up similar to ACL/FFF fest. I mean same area, both are 3 days, not much overlap in acts. Also they are both roughly 5 weeks apart, much like Sasquatch will be. Seems to be working in Austin, could work here. Then again downtown Austin isn't really a destination for most, where as Sasquatch requires driving and camping.

ACL is a giant festival (over three times the capacity) which appeals to the masses. Sasquatch is somewhere in between, albeit much closer to the capacity of FFF Fest.

So if they set up a separate price saving presale for each weekend, would you fellow festival addicts buy passes for both without seeing the lineup for either?

So if they set up a separate price saving presale for each weekend, would you fellow festival addicts buy passes for both without seeing the lineup for either? Are we talking both weekends at once in some kind of package, or separately? For me it would probably depend on how much the savings are. That would be quite a bit to budget for something that a lot of people think is going to fail as far as talent is concerned. Hasn't pre-sale only saved you like $10-15 in the past? It seems like the only real benefit is locking down a ticket if you are worried about them selling out again.

If I can swing it financially, I plan on buying presale tickets to both weekends. If one lineup turns out to be shite, I'll just cut someone a good deal on the pass for that weekend. But, honestly, the lineup would have to be pretty damn bad for me to skip either one, especially if I already bought the ticket.

Personally, what I would like to see from the presale is some sort of flex ticket that would be good for either weekend, but you need to commit to one or the other after the lineups are announced. Not sure how it would work, but seems to me like the best way to do blind presale for 2 separate lineups, short of just buying passes to both.

Chances are the lineups will not be released very close together though. That would make a "choose after the lineup" option pretty tough to pull.

I thought about that too. Like I said, I don't know how it would work, but it would be nice. There is also the possibility of two separate presales a couple months, one for each weekend. However it works, it stands to reason that the savings would be higher for someone buying passes to both weekends as they are taking a bigger risk and providing more advance capital for the festival organizers.

Or it could be as simple as when the first lineup is announced, presale ticket holders have to commit to going to Maysquatch or opt to wait and see what's behind for number two.
