Board suicide to end all board suicides:
I though Sigur Ros was just pretty good. I didn't even stay until the end. We watched over an hour and went to see if Tame Impala finally showed up. They were just getting on when we got there and we watched their whole show.
Primus on the other hand, after giving it some time to sink in, was the best show I've ever seen at Sasquatch. Take away their 3D stuff, and that statement probably still stands.

That Sigur Ros set was really really good, but like I said in the other thread, I thought that first Edgefield show I saw was even better than that.

Sigur Ros at Coachella might be my favorite show of all time.
Sigur Ros at Sasquatch was expectantly incredible.
Sigur Ros at the Paramount last summer was pretty good.

That Sigur Ros set was really really good, but like I said in the other thread, I thought that first Edgefield show I saw was even better than that. Does not compute. They were 1000x louder, 1000x brighter and 1000x more hypnotic at the gorge.

Yeah fuck that noise Sigur Ros at Sasquatch was the most impressive shit I've ever seen. No hyperbole. The absolute best and I can comfortably say that drugs had 0 to do with this.

I probably didn't enjoy it as much because of the college bros next to me trying to yell to eachother over the music.

Well as always, to each their own dude. I'm nowhere near the live music fanatic that most of y'all are but that set took the cake for me.

While I saw some pretty legendary sets this year (Sigur Ros and Primus were both incredible) I felt like the sound issues were a huge detractor to my overall experience. Did anyone else feel the same way, or am I just being overly critical? I'm honestly having a hard time remembering if the issues that I experienced were pretty normal for Sasquatch, or if this year was as glitch-ridden as it seemed.

The sound issues have been present for quite a while at the Bigfoot/Wookie (public enemy rapping into the void in 2010?), but really did seem worse this year. The mainstage however, I thought was greatly improved. You could actually hear on the hill!

Yeah, the Bigfoot sound was just terrible this year. For some reason though, the only Bigfoot set I saw that didn't have sound problems was Primus.

Sets at the Bigfoot with no sound issues (That I Saw)
Sea Wolf Bear Mountain Robert DeLong Devendra Banhart Holy Ghost! Divine Fits Deep Sea Diver DIIV Fang Island Earl Sweatshirt Primus Chvrches Twin Shadow Alt-J
Shows with Issues
Japandroids (Volume was too low) Vampire Weekend (Sound cut out, volume) Grimes (Volume)
I agree that they need to be more consistent and improve the issues that have plagued the stage for the past few years (public enemy, bassnectar, etc). If they ever hope to do a live stream of the festival, like other festivals they must address the issues, weather it is a problem with the stage itself, the sound guys, etc. The issues are not enough to make me question going but they are enough to feel bad for both us fans and the artists who are trying to put on a great show only to face amateur issues. Hopefully something is done this year to remedy that and to book artists that will actually show up(another issue all together, but in the 7 years I've gone I have never seen so many cancellations and no-shows).

It's cool guys. MC Ride shred it thirteen times out of eleven and taught the sound dudes at the Bigfoot the proper meaning of a beat down, and now they're too noided to fuck at us with that weak shit again and again and again.

Do we not have a thread for all-time favorite Sasqrotch performances? I swear that was a thing, but I swear at a lot of things.
I saw fewer performances than usual this year, but I could easily put Primus, Sigur Ros AND Akron/Family on a 'top 10 Sasqrotch shows of the past 7 years' list.

Fang Island was the set that I had the most fun at the whole weekend. I had a perma-smile on my face the entire set. I was running in place with two thumbs up and I think that I thought I was dancing. Those dudes ooze pure joy and if I am ever in a blue mood they are who I will listen to.

Tame impala and primus tie for best set. It is a bummer more people didn't get to see tame impala's epic performance. They were so tight and enjoyable to watch. Seeing such an amazing band on the yeti was really special. When tame impala went into the 10 minute jam on their last song it was absolutely mind blowing.

I'm very sad that I didn't get to see Tame Impala. Everything I've heard so far about the show sounds incredible. Damn you unexpected conflict!!!!

Tame Impala was really good and easily one of the best sets I saw all weekend. Luckily I didn't stand around for 2 hours waiting for them and just happened to show up when they were going on. Had I actually waited all that time I probably wouldn't have enjoyed it as much.
