Due to Oklahoma tornado tragedy, there will be an increase in wind this year. Due to the beheading in London there will be a 13% increase in public beheadings by the yellowshirts. To avoid beheading, be nice to yellow shirts, and for fucks sake, KEEP YOUR HANDS OUT OF YOUR POCKETS!

Man, I'm still bummed about that video being taken down. When this was posted the day after Sasquatch 2011, my friends and I laughed for a good hour straight with this shit on replay.

I would pay actual dollars for the original video. Like, for serious if anyone owns it.

The added security doesn't care about your weed or SLR camera. They are about safety. It is a real issue, but not one to be worried about. But if you mouth off to the wrong security officer or refuse to let them see in your pack, you might end up on youtube.

Seriously heightened security. Can you believe that the lady at the gate actually asked if I had anything in my pockets?! The nerve! So invasive.
All kidding aside, this was probably the most lax security I've ever seen at the Gorge. They did get a little tighter toward the end, but still nothing like I was expecting.

The security was the absolute best I've ever experienced at a festival or any kind of concert ever. The searches were extremely reasonable and I never got hassled once in the campground or venue.

Security was really decent, the guys on the bigfoot stage were pretty nice guys and we had a pretty good time talking to them between sets...

Never saw such a mellow Sasquatch before! A young couple in front of us at the main stage were smoking a pipe very blatantly, beverage enforcement came to talk with them and confiscated their weed but then walked about 50' away and talked with their supervisor and he told them to give it back but asked the kids to not be so blatant. Win for everyone!
We did have a girl come into our camp Monday night asking for a jump so they could leave. Three chicks all obviously rolling still so we said sure, can jump the battery for you but not if any of you are driving. They said, no, none of us are driving, our sober friend is driving so we jumped their vehicle. About 5 minutes later we heard a crunch and saw the same 3 chicks trying to leave in the car graze another car and drive over a mountain of trash. Had to run in front of the car to make it stop and then got security to help us keep them from trying to leave. Security was great, nice to the ladies but said if they tried to leave they would get the sheriffs. Girls were pissed at us, said we were going to make them miss a 9:00 AM class the next morning but slept in their car for about 8 hours and headed out no doubt in much better driving condition.
This years security rocked!

By far the best security has ever been. I brought in a camelbak full of water every day and it didn't get searched once.
One day, I walked up to get searched with my backpack unzipped and ready to be looked through. The guy searching me asked if he could pat the bottom of my backpack. I said yes, he lightly tapped the bottom of my bag, and he let me through. One has to wonder what he was looking for!

I could not believe how lax they were. Besides getting my glowsticks taken away they barely even looked in my bag at all or even touched my pockets.

For the record they finally found my wizard potions in my Afghan hat this year. The first time ever.
