You as well!! Don't get to the point of Red Bull consumption where your vision starts to shake. I try to stop when my hands tremble.

Me and megatron can trade off (whereas in the past I've driven the whole way which is pretty exhausting), so it shouldn't be too bad. She's (hopefully) sleeping in today, so she should be okay. But yes - both of us are ready and willing to pull over and nap when and where ever is required. Safety first. EVERYONE TRAVEL SAFE.

The downside of having an awesome Sasquatch travel buddy who doesn't have her license and doesn't know how to drive stick. She is excellent company though. Last year my Sasquatch playlist got into a Bon Iver rut and I was looking fall asleep at the wheel-y, she immediately put on some loud metal to wake me the fuck up.

Haha awesome. I also have a standard and have faced the same issue two years in a row. LEARN TO DRIVE STICK, PEOPLE!

It's a life skill, and I continuously offer to show my friends how. For partially selfish reasons.

I learned how to drive manual when I was 16! Manual drivers, unite! Same! I mean, I wouldn't brag about my manual driving skills back then, and the number of times I stalled on major roadways is astounding (even for a 16 year old girl). But it comes with practice. Never going back.

I'm so excited for Sasquatch that I showed up to work an hour early by accident. Whoops.

I am excited. We are leaving tomorrow afternoon. State Farm was not able to pay for our gas. But thanks to State Farm and Jivenation, two more people from here are going. Hope to meet more of you. If you happen to stumble across a path of red and silver glitter on the ground. Just follow it back to our tent. The wife thinks she is going to be able to see it in the dark with her flash light. I doubt it works but the wife is really excited to try.

I'll keep an eye out, but I feel like that would require absurd amounts of glitter. All the best to her though, I hope that works out!

I've been sitting here at my computer "working" for almost 5 hours. I've worked for 20 minutes, maybe 30 if I'm being generous. This is excruciating. Also, I don't get paid when I don't work. Arrrrrrrg

I've been "working" for the past 5.5 hours, except I've been productive for about 0 whole minutes. Counting down the minutes until the road trip starts. Luckily I do get paid, though I get paid peanuts. Like, less than minimum wage. Yay internships.

Just secured summer employment with the program I've been working with. SASQUATCH MAGIC! Yayy Dr. Garbanzoglehorn! My boss just walked in with a piece of paper and said, "Got a minute to talk?" My first thought was, oh shit... they found out I've been posting on the messageboard at work. Then she says, "It's really obvious to everyone how hard you have been working and how grossly underpaid you are, so I got you a little more." Then she gave mea raise of $1.10/hour. Raises have been "frozen" for the past 3 years (we're a struggling non-profit organization) and this kind of thing is UNHEARD of around here. SASQUATCH MAAAAGIC!!!!!!!
