Here's the thing. Newbie at Sasquatch, at festival camping and at boards. Coming down on my own, and ya, from Canada, but all the way from Ottawa, by myself, I'm way old, and Sasquatch has been a dream so don't hate me. Lurking for answers, but WTF, I'll just ask. I can bring food and drink into the campground, whatever I need, but not into the festival site, I got that right? What's the deal with camera's on the festival site? Mine doesn't have a detachable lens, but a sweet little zoom, and I take it everywhere. Will it be ok? Or do I need to hide it?

From the event website: You can bring in one 20-oz., factory sealed bottle of water You can bring in a small (1 gallon), clear bag of snacks
I always bring in fresh fruit and a sandwich or crackers and cheese, something to keep you going through the day. Food at the venue for the most part sucks and is of course very expensive.
As to the camera, if it is a big camera they may question it. If it is little I don't think you will have a problem.

You are correct about the food/drink, you can bring anything you want to the campsite. Your camera will be fine as well. In the past they're even been known to be lenient about the detachable lens rule, there's always quite a few people roaming around with some nice DSLR's.

You can bring in food to the venue and they have never limited as far as I can see, it just needs to be in a clear container or bag so they can see it.

Thanks guys. Only other thing is wondering about a charging station, my camera battery uses a charger, and it seems rude to run a car in the campground, just to charge stuff with the lighter. Maybe there is a spot? Ah, well. First world probs, right? I'll just chill.

There are cell phone charging stations in the venue.

You can run a car to charge stuff. Keep in mind, the car doesn't have to be running for very long to keep the battery charged. I always have 2 people's phones charging inside my car and every few hours I'll go turn it on and let it run for 10 or 15 minutes.

So the food in a clear bag is a new one for this year, anyone think they will have issue if I have a small cooler bag with food inside of a clear bag so it doesn't get smashed...
They never seemed to care about cooler bags in the past...
The one 20oz water bottle thing is pretty funny too, in years past I usually bring anywhere from 4-6 per day...

They've always had those two rules listed on the site and have just not heavily enforced them. People are just paying more attention to the rules 'cause they came with the wristbands this year I think.

Cooler bags are fine. I'm pretty sure there's a rule stating soft coolers are ok and hard are not. The clear bag thing has been around for a long time, but it's a separate rule from the cooler.

Has anyone asked if we're allowed to have campfires yet?
