Hey, looking at the camping section of the website it says that there is a max of 4 people per vehicle per campsite. I don't remember anything like that last year, and we had 8 people on our site. Is this going to be a problem this year?

doesn't the gorge/sasquatch prize itself on being economical? they were bragging about some sort of carbon emission stuff last year. all i know is that it would be wasteful and capitalistic to make everyone break groups down into fours. i mean, we can always put cars in big clusters and hang out with friends or whatever, but making us take more cars just to make money is wasteful and unethical. should i tell them?

Doesnt it say its just 10$ per person after the forth person? And how do you think they would handle someone coming who has an rv spot, but bringing a small bus with 14 people? Intending to pay the 10 per person per day rule of course...

Where does it say that? I can't find that anywhere. It says "limited to 4 people per vehicle/site". That seems pretty clear to me.

from what I've gathered... the 4 ppl per site thing has to do with buying camping tickets. each camping ticket is good for one car with up to 4 ppl. but the sites arent sectioned off or anything, so as long as you come in with your group of cars/people, then you'll be able to set up shop next to eachother.

Right...but what if you're coming in a van that seats 6? Does that mean we need to bring an extra car so that those 2 additional people can get in?
Is the entrance to the camping heavily guarded? If not, I would think you could just leave your extra people outside the entrance and have them walk in and meet you??

i dont think it will be a problem, as long as you have one ticket per 4 ppl.... then you can set up camp with as many people as you like.

i still think it's utterly retarded that they'd limit how many people you put in your car. way to stunt our attempts at being economical. let's fill the gorge with as many cars as possible!

Um, I don't think they care how many people you put in your vehicle.
I'm sure if you have nine people in an RV, they could care less... you guys might have to buy THREE premier camping passes to get you all in though.
The way I read it, one camping ticket gets you four premier campground wrist bands and the right to park one vehicle inside said campground.
I'm sure they don't care if you're missing a vehicle, just like they're not going to refund part of your pass if you only have two people squatting on your plot of land rather than four.
If you're coming down with more than four people and one pass, I'd start figuring out a way to get another premier pass.

I'm sure this applies to the regular campground too. They're trying to make money, remember, people? If they can enforce it somehow, I'm sure they will...

Have people successfully gotten a car in with more than 4 people if they had more than 1 pass? I'm going with 7 other friends in a van and we can't split up into multiple cars as we have the van already booked.

Yeah, last year we had 8 people in our car/campsite and it was cool. Although I don't ever remember reading this rule last year, which is why I started the topic. I think it is a new rule.

I'm not sure how the Gorge campground works, but Wild Horse charges an extra 10$ per person if there are more than 4 people to a car. It seems a little silly that the Gorge would charge for an additional camping ticket if for example there were five people to a car...that would mean one person paying for an entire campsite for the whole weekend. Yet again...look at the beer prices.

ok, so i just phoned a Sasquatch rep and she told me that for General camping you can have as many people in your car as you like. only premium camping has the 4 person limit. its to do with showers or some such. or thats the reason they are giving.
anyhow hope that helps cal
