I got very lost the first night of my first festival and so i've been trying to make progressivly more awesome flags since. This summers is looking to be the best so far...solor and wind powered with rainbow and laser shooting capabilities (still working on the rainbow part). Anyways I finally got my industrial glow paint and solor panels in the mail today and it got me excited all over again to keep working at it and wondering if anyone else is making or bringing a flag to guide them home at Sasq this year? Or if you've seen any spectacular ones at festivals past worth meantioning.

Why? You planning to have a cat themed camp this year?

You should think about making a huge sandbox...

Last year we forgot a flag, but we lucked out and camped next to a group of people with a HUGE teepee.
Flags are a good idea, though.

I'm considering a DRUNKCHELLA flag. lahey and I will be the only ones that will laugh every time we see it, but that's kind of the point.

Last year I couldn't for the life of me find the boardie campsite, despite it literally being 7 campsites away from me, except I DID find Souly's flag on the ground. God I'm a derp.

I think I'm the derp for having a flag on the ground. Construction has begun on a new flag pole

There's no place that I can find to post this in, and I don't want to start a new thread, but I've got a story to tell.
Back in 2011 my girlfriend and I brought some blankets in during the day. We didn't care about them all too much and ended up stashing them somewhere at night and planned on grabbing them on our way out. We went to grab them, and they were both gone. Mildly upset, we walked back to camp and went on with our business. The next day, in the early afternoon, the unbelievable happened. A group of people walking down our row were spotted from afar by my girlfriend, who immediately asked "is that your blanket?". Sure enough, my very distinguishable old red blanket that I've had since my childhood was being carried by a stranger RIGHT PAST OUR CAMP. We asked if they'd found it the previous day (they had) and they were very happy to return it to me, they'd only grabbed it because they were very cold and needed warmth.
It is by far the most statistically unlikely thing that's ever happened to me. This is why Sasquatch is the magical beautiful place that it is.
I've got another great Sasquatch story about losing something else, but I'll save it for another time.
(P.S. Accelerated Cheese, check your PM's, doesn't seem like you noticed mine in there)

That's awesome...there really is some kind of magic there hey. I was going to say when I started this thread, but figured it was too long, when I got lost that first night...well it started out awesome. Went to the dance tent, got lost and ended up at a pool party and then smoking sheesha at some amazingly comfy campsite. But then I really started trying to find home and got to the point where I'd lost all hope and was seriously considering just finding some grass to crash on till sunrise. And then all of a sudden I got tackled...it was my new camp neighbor I had met hours earlier. The only reason he saw me was because we had bonded over our blankets while unpacking and traded for the night. I still had his neon knit monstrosity wrapped around me and he saw it from down the road and booked it over. I'd never been so happy... till the next day when I came over the hill for the first time and saw that view of the Gorge... damn I can't wait to be back!!!
