I have a feeling they pushed back the comedy to avoid sound bleed during the acts from the Maine/Cthulhu stage after they all bitched hilariously about it last year. I am sad about that conflict though. It's gonna be a game time decision for me.

Todd Barry was pissed about the rap going on across from the Banana Shack last year. It was awesome.

I think I've seen a total of three comedy acts in my five previous Sasquatches, and they were all terrible. I only wandered in during a comedy act because I was literally interested in none of the bands playing at the time. Not planning on seeing anything this year. Maybe I'm different than most, but I'm there to see bands and not comedians.

I saw Craig Robinson in 2010 and he was hilarious. He did Reggie Watts-esque comedy with a keyboard synth and made up funny songs on the spot. I liked it a lot!
But other than that, I'm in the same boat. I wouldn't skip a band to see a comedian unless it's something I really don't care about.

Craig Robinson was indeed the shit. Trailer Park Boys were shit.
I hope that Nick Offerman will be the shit.

Another thing that's baffling me about Vampire Weekend's slot is why there's a 75 minute gap before they go on stage. Is their stage setup so elaborate that their timeslot couldn't be moved up to 9 - 10:30 so that they didn't conflict with Macklemore at all? Why do they need 75 minutes to set up whereas the Sasquatch stage headliner only needs 45? I'm struggling to even come close to understanding their placement.

So we can all go see Youth Lagoon beforehand, obviously.

So we can all go see Youth Lagoon beforehand, obviously. I want to see Youth Lagoon's whole set pretty badly, but worry if I'm not in the Bigfoot stage vicinity by about 9:15 that I won't be within 500 feet of Vampire Weekend. I don't know how big of a draw Arctic Monkeys will have at Sasquatch, but they're a Glastonbury headliner. Hopefully a large chunk of the crowd will be down at the Sasquatch stage for them prior to VW's slot and I could slide over from the Yeti stage right after Youth Lagoon and get a good spot. Probably wishful thinking right there.

I feel like I'm going to end up seeing Youth Lagoon, then sliding my way through the crowd to Matthew Dear, and then catching the last half hour of VW before heading down to Macklemore. Of course, that is probably also wishful thinking, and more likely I'll end up missing VW entirely.

I, for one, will be watching the Arctic Monkeys. I might try to run over and catch a bit of Matthew Dear before Macklemore starts, but I definitely won't be taking up any space at Vampire Weekend.

I was planning on watching all of Youth Lagoon, then lurking at the back of Vampire Weekend until Macklemore goes on. But, I have to tell you, I've also put some serious thought into ditching VW and Macklemore so I can Tebow in front of the burrito stand until Baauer decides it's time for us to do the Harlem Shake.

Nick, that is exactly my plan. Hitting up a little bit of everything is they way to do it.

If anyone was having a hard time deciding between the Postal Service and Rusko, the Postal Service just announced shows in Seattle and Vancouver for July. I was seeing the Postal Service regardless, but seem to remember some of you contemplating seeing Rusko instead.

Trailer Park Boys were shit. Probably would've helped if their microphones actually worked properly. Still...not the best. Portlandia, on the other hand, was a complete mess.

What? Who doesn't love 60 minutes of bike and hipster jokes? Oh wait those are the same thing...

It was more the "We are going to show you pictures you can't see and read our jokes directly off of flash cards" type deal. I actually found the first season of the show pretty funny, but onstage they were a disaster.

No I was agreeing, I did not enjoy them last year, stayed for maybe 7 and a half minutes.
