I'm really enjoying it after the first couple listens. Very excited to see them!

I keep hearing great things about Father John Misty's live performances and I kind of like the song or two I've heard by him, but he's sandwiched right between Built to Spill and Arctic Monkeys who are must-sees for me. I guess I can catch 20 minutes or so of his set if I want to rush around.
I haven't listened to Akron/Family at all because I want to see Nick Offerman, but from what I gather I think I'd like their stuff.

Warning: You'll likely get sucked in if you watch him. Even though I love his album, I really had no intention of catching him at Coachella, but right as I wandered by the tent he was playing in I couldn't help but walk in and ended up watching the entire set. He's an absolutely amazing performer.

I haven't listened to Akron/Family at all because I want to see Nick Offerman, but from what I gather I think I'd like their stuff. I was looking forward to seeing Kyle Kinane and Nick Offerman until I started listening to Devendra Banhart and Akron/Family. If you really want to see Offerman, don't start letting to A/F because they are too damn good and you will decide to skip Offerman.

Father John Misty is in a spot where I could easily see him instead of Telekinesis if I like his stuff more, gonna have to check it out. Just when I thought my daily schedules had been all figured out...

I need help resolving a couple conflicts
Cake V Twin Shadow V Disclosure (Right now I lean Cake)
Wild Belle V Tallest Man on Earth (Lean Wild Belle)
John Talabot V Surfer Blood (No Idea!)
Thoughts?

I have the same problem with the first conflict...My group wants cake, i want disclosure it will be a game time decision
go with Tallest Man on Earth, Wild Belle has a great debut but Tallest Man is the better all around performer, Wild Belle seems a little stiff from what I have seen on youtube videos...
I am going to Surfer Blood, I saw them in 2011 and I am really interested in their new material, but most here will say John Talabot...

I've seen Twin Shadow before (he's very good!) so I have no problem skipping him. I'm going to see Cake for about 20-30 minutes and hop over for the entire set of Disclosure. Disclosure are going to be one of the best if not the best dance party of the whole weekend, I highly recommend not missing them.
I like Wild Belle's recorded stuff so I'm going to check them out for a while, but if it's lacking then I'll jump over to Tallest Man.
John Talabot. Surfer Blood are good and all, but seriously. John Talabot.

Okay, Holy Ghost!'s new track is seriously making me doubt my decision to choose Akron/Family. This is a fucking banger.

I'm really glad they came out with a new song to get me excited to see them. I've been at two festivals where they played and both times I've skipped them because of something more exciting. I'd love to see Akron/Family but I have a feeling Holy Ghost will be one of the best daytime dance parties we're going to get. I also love the new song.

That bassline and the extra synth that's bouncing around the background sound SO much like LCD Soundsystem, and that can only be a good thing coming from my mouth. I'm really excited for the new album, although I don't think they've set a release date beyond "summer" yet.

That synth is really what pushes it over the edge for me. Juan MacLean's new single is great, but much more barebones house than "Dumb Disco Ideas."
I mean, that title alone though. Fastest way to ensure I'll be there for that entire set. Sorry, Akron/bros. Catch you another time.

I don't know how DFA has all of these ridiculously talented funky electronic bands on the same label. Have you ever listened to Shit Robot? Their name is silly, but their music is awesome and has that obvious "DFA" sound to it. Plus the name of one of their albums is "From The Cradle To The Rave" and that's one of my favorite titles ever.

Shit Robot is great, love 'em! Cradle to the Rave got me through a lot of long hours at my old job.
Don't forget, YACHT is on DFA now too! Their new single kicks all kinds of ass.

I saw Yacht open for Hot Chip last year and I just can't quite get in to them for some reason. I'll be seeing them again this summer at What The Festival though, so I'll give them another chance before then.
I do like this remix of that song quite a bit though! Everything RAC remixes comes out with perfect summery vibes. [soundcloud]https://soundcloud.com/dfa-records/second-summer-rac-remix-1[/soundcloud]
