I bought my ticket AND the terrace camping upgrade only to find out that my good friend decided to bail on the entire idea.
It's my first Sasquatch, I have an upgraded camping package, and it looks like I'm going solo. I'm sure it'll be fine, but I was wondering if anyone else in the Terrace area wouldn't mind me camping near them, maybe give me a hand with my tent? I'll pay in hugs and beer!

Sucks, dude. I don't know of a single person here who bought terrace camping, but maybe you'll get lucky. Hugs n' beer sounds like a pretty fair trade, though.

Yeah, it does suck. I'm definitely going either way, but it's slightly nervewracking doing the whole thing solo. It's not impossible - hopefully being in the terrace area will ease my mind a bit.

Just an idea, but you could unload your terrace camping upgrade (shouldn't be that difficult) and jump into general camping feet first. This forum represents a solid group of 30-40 really excellent people -- all veteran Squatchers -- who would likely be more than happy to take you under their wing and show you the ropes.

I'm kind of attached to the terrace upgrade (it sounds awesome, plus im lame) but I've thought about unloading it - we'll see how things pan out.

A reasonable alternative is Wildhorse camping. It's not fancy-schmancy like terrace is, but c'mon, you're still going to be sleeping in a tent, how fancy are you going to feel really?
Wildhorse is a couple miles down the road; they have showers, warm food, WAY fewer people, and it is basically quieter and more relaxing (I hear).
(Let the record show that I just recommended Wildhorse to someone.)

I never thought I'd see the day when HG recommends wildhorse. This is a day to remember.

Terrace is pretty open and mellow. You will find lots of people to hang out with. Some are a little stand-offish, but most of us are easy going. Look for the collection of canopies and the 8 person porta-mansion anchoring the camp with the folding lounge chair collection and just slide on in. If you want, bring an extra pound of bacon for the breakfast buffet and a box of merlot.

And no, the merlot is not for breakfast... breakfast is all about mimosas and the kir royale.

Not sure if it helps, but should you decide to sell the Terrace Camping - I'll happily buy it from you. We're in a group with a small child, so we're all going to pitch in on the upgrade.. but they're sold out. If you change your mind, say the word! General Camping is way more of a social atmosphere, IMO.
