Tobacco vs EITS. and I can't decide who to see all around Doves, Blind Pilot, AA Bondy, Passion Pit and Death Vessel. I really don't want to see Murder City Devils but I want a good spot for TVOTR.. shitty.
Nothing serious though, I'm pretty happy.

I'm a bit nervous about how tough it may be to get into the comedy tent. I'd like to see Blitzen Trapper but Demitri Martin 40 minutes later presents a potential issue. What was the comedy tent like last year? Were the lines long and laborious?

Each time I walked by, there was a line to get into the comedy tent. I never considered going, because I hate waiting in line. I have already written off the dance tent as an option based on what I have read about the Pemberton dance tent, and how the tent isn't that large, and doesn't have a lot of land for expansion. I wouldn't be surprised to see a line 100+ (not moving) to get into the dance tent. You will have better luck getting into the comedy tent though.

I hate how difficult the schedule always is to interpret. Someone should put all the times/stages on a spreadsheet so it's easier to compare!

I made an excel sheet. Copied the layout from someone who did a Pemberton one last year. Worked out nicely. Can I post a file on here? How do I share it?

Possible Conflicts for me: Day 1 -M. Ward/King Kong and the Shrines. Ward starts at 3:25. KK starts at 3:40. Bummer. These were two of the bands I was most excited for. -Decemberists/Mos Def. I thought it would be awesome to see Mos Def, but no way am I choosing him over Decemberists. Day 2 -Avett Brothers/Builders and the Butchers-Pretty much the exact situation as M.Ward and KK&tS. Really excited for both bands. This one may be tougher, though, since these two are closer genre-wise. Day 3 looks pretty spread out based on what I want to see. So, considering the amount of bands there, and the amount of bands I'm excited for, the fact that I can still count on 1 hand the conflicts that'll have really isn't that bad at all. Not really considering YYY/BI a conflict, since I'd choose YYY over them, mainly because I know that if I want to see a good folk artist, those are in high supply this year at Sasquatch. A rock band with an insane female vocalist? Not so much.

i really want to see Mos Def too but i think the decemberists win out. plus i want to be up front for YYYs and would have to fight my way there if i was coming from the wookie stage 15 minutes before they come on.

Here is the link for an excel schedule: www.megaupload.com/?d=56S76LUHLeft it blank... highlight the ones you want to see! I did the best I could with getting the times accurate. I did it pretty quick, let me know if you see any mistakes.

I can't believe no one has mentioned NIN vs. of Montreal as a conflit, thats probably the biggest one for me. I guess their fanbases dont have that much crossover. Also I agree that Doves vs. Passion Pit is the other big conflict in my eyes.

I agree: Saw NIN in '91 with their 1st album, so I'm going to check out of Montreal. I CAN'T believe of Montreal is even on the Wookie stage!?! Question: Does NIN play their older stuff; terrible lie, down in it? I need to watch part of their set if they do. Makes sense that they would. I've read that of Montreal puts on an awesome live set!

Also I agree that Doves vs. Passion Pit is the other big conflict in my eyes. Thats my biggest conflict as well, but I guess I was prepared for it being that I knew that Of Montreal was playing the Wook while NIN was playing the main stage. At least you will be able to catch some of NIN before Of Montreal. Still sucks, but I knew Sunday was going to be really top heavy with Of Montreal, NIN, TVOTR, and Janes. Pdxmeyer, NIN was playing old songs on their last tour. I saw them at Lolla (2008 not 1991) and they played Head like a hole and Terrible Lie. Their Lights in the Sky set up was pretty insane visually. It was a good show. I would imagine that they would play some crowd favorites at Sasquatch since it is a festival and they want to keep the crowd engaged. I also agree that Of Montreal should be on Sasquatch stage either right before or after TVOTR. I don't know which band would be considered bigger. I saw them both in Atlanta and there was a bigger turn out for Of Montreal, but they are from Athens, GA so they are kinda a "local" product. I guess TVOTR would probably be bigger nationally as they have been on SNL and Colbert and such. But I would consider Of Montreal to be the better live band. As for conflicts, other than the Of Montreal/NIN one, my biggest issues are not that bad - EITS v. Tobacco and Grizzly Bear vs Black Moth Super Rainbow. I will probably split the Grizzly Bear/Black Moth Super Rainbow situation but the EITS v Tobacco deal is more complicated with the Dance tent being involved. I guess I am just skipping out on EITS to see Tobacco which gets me in the dance tent for Chromeo. They really got the dance party kicking on the end of Monday night with Girl Talk/Tobacco/Chromeo. I wish they had that going on at the beginning of the festival instead of the end. I am just happy that they give us over a month with the actual schedule to figure out what we want to do. Shit, Coachella puts out their line up the week of the festival and Bonnaroo usually sets their schedule about three weeks in advance. You don't even know what days that the Bonnaroo artists are playing until the schedule comes out. Its nice to be able to see a line up this early and be able to fill in the dead spots on your schedule by getting into bands that you have not heard of before the festival. Just five weeks out. I guess I will get my festival fix this weekend watching the Coachella webcast. Ending long post.

I still think YYYs and Bon Iver are the biggest conflict, but in years past, the back stage headliner and sub-headliners played after their scheduled times, so that the headliner was playing just short of the main stage headliner. If I can see the YYYs, then get to the back stage to catch part of Bon Iver's set, while missing the beginning of Kings of Leon, that would be ideal.
Anyone else have thoughts on this. Discussion time, we are only three weeks away.

Fresh from the Sasquatch! website:
We’re happy to announce the following additions to this year’s lineup:
The Henry Clay People: Sunday on the Yeti Stage from 2:10pm - 2:55pm
Deerhoof: Monday on the Mainstage from 12:55 pm - 1:35 pm
Natasha Leggero: Monday in the Comedy Tent from 4:30 pm - 5:15 pm
That said, as we know, things can happen, and due to unforeseeable conflicts, this year’s festival will no longer include Japandroids, Mugison, and Demetri Martin.
See you in 18 days!

Wow, love the Deerhoof add, upset about Japandroids. I think that they are playing the Capital hill party though, so not too upset. Big Win.

Major score!!! Totally wanted to see Japandroids! Do you hear me Japandroids? Hope you are feeling better... What an awesome addition to Monday. Thank You Deerhoof. Now why doesn't Dirty Projectors show up?!? They are touring with TV on the Radio, so I would be totally jazzed to see Dirty Projectors again...

It was the best surprise ever when I found out Deerhoof was playing. They are now the band I'm most excited about seeing. I saw them last October, and they're the only show I've been to that I think could top Of Montreal. They don't even have the crazy sense-over-stimulating shows either. They just have so much intensity in their music.
But that's neither here nor there.... The real point of this post:
I'm a bit confused as the Schedule portion of the website has to of my favorite commedians The Red Wine Boys (Todd Barry and Jon Benjamin) as performing 2:15 to 3:00 on Sunday whereas the PDF schedule has them listed as going on at 3:30.
I assume that since the PDF schedule is more recent it is more correct (and I sure hope so, because as much as I love the red wine boys, I ain't missin' the Walkmen), but does anyone know which time is correct for SURE?

pooped, just because there isn't a lot to talk about these days, and I think at least the first page of this thread was pretty funny. Which one of you changed your name from ssss? I'm guessing interstateeight.
PS. This thread was from last year.
