Whoa pump the breaks guys. I wasn't saying all hair is a deal breaker, but Mackelmore's hair is dumb as fuck, as are the majority of his songs.

All this time I literally thought you were talking about that Noz guy's hair and I didn't understand why you guys were not only familiar with, but also very concerned with some Pitchfork reviewer's hair. If I could find and post a picture of me circa 1995, I could show you someone pulling off Macklemore's current hairstyle like a champ.

Jesus christ, "Can't Hold Us" just went double platinum. Can't believe how much he's exploded.

In b4 Geno's obligatory "I just don't for the life of me understand how ___________ got to be so popular" post. Close enough.

In b4 Geno's obligatory "I just don't for the life of me understand how ___________ got to be so popular" post. Close enough. Naw, I actually understand why Macklemore got popular. He developed a huge following in the NW after a few years, and when his first album came out it hit the top of the charts on iTunes. Due to his success, he started getting radio play, and now he's a national superstar. Something like that. I still don't understand how Mumford got so damn popular though.

Endless Touring behind a stable of songs that crossed over from being the "next big thing" to "your mom's new favorite band" seamlessly...

Bands become huge by appealing to the 18-25 year old girl demographic.
What the 18-25 year old girls are listening to right now: Mumford and Sons, Lumineers and Macklemore.

Mumford has a couple great songs that if you put them one after the other you can really go on a wizard journey if you don't listen to the words and just focus on the frenetic instrumentals and I enjoy the Lumineers. That being said. Macklemore not a fan. Never will be. Can't wait til his real estate bubble pops.

I'm like 40% 18-25 year old girl. What a coincidence, I'm a quarter 18-25 year old girl on my father's side.

I selfishly hope that Macklemore saves all the songs that I like for after I make my way over when Vampire Weekend is done. Somebody else had said that Macklemore is probably going to have the most energetic set/crowd of the entire weekend and I fully agree. If I know what he's like at all, he'll be wanting to put on an incredible show for his home state festival and everyone in the crowd will be full of energy on the first night.

The more I've heard songs from his newest album the more I'm excited to sit on the hill for a while after VW and check it out. I am going to love Baauer, but 90 straight minutes of Baauer is a lot, so Macklemore will be a nice buffer before heading that way.

At Hangout Fest Mackelmore's crew was throwing inflatables into the crowd and he crowd surfed riding an orca.

Macklemore is going to be he highest energy set of the festival. Friday night while everyone is fresh with the guy who has been playing the side stages for years finally getting the chance to headline the mainstage of his hometown festival. He is likely going to put on the best show of his career and the vibe is going to be insane.
