Do you spell tire like tyre? This is just genuine curiosity.
Tire. Pyjamas. Although I know a ton of Canadians who are very un-Canadian in their spellings: color, honor, center pajamas, "double-you, ex, why and zee" etc. etc.
I have a question as well, and this is also genuine curiosity. Why do Americans look at me so funny when I ask for the washroom or the bathroom? I know you don't bath in a public toilet area, but you don't rest either!
Akron/Family performances are seriously magical. I don't know what it is, but it's something.
Shovels and Rope are people I know from Charleston. Friends may be a strong word, as I've really only conversed with them twice, and played with them twice. I feel like all of my friends are friends with them though, and one of my bandmates plays with them all the time. The Charleston music scene is tiny and we're all friends, and Shovels and Rope has been somewhat of the representative triumph of Charleston, and a good example of what most Charleston bands are like. They're not as much what I'm usually into, but I love them for what they are.
