For the description of the 4-day passes on livenation it says the wristbands are "non-transferrable and non exchangable".
I am not planning to scalp my pass, but if for some reason I am unable to make the festival does that mean I can't give my wristband to someone else? Or does it just mean once you enter the event you can't transfer the wristband to anyone else.

I don't see any way that could be the case. I think it's more referring to taking the wristband off after a day and giving it to someone else.

The wristbands will be surgically grafted onto your skin by a FEMA representative upon entry to the campgrounds.

This will take approximately 3 months. You will be provided a glass of water and an Alicia Keys covers album for your wait.

Once you put them on, you wont be able to take them off without voiding them.
Since they will be mailed there will likely be a lot of knock-offs made as soon as people get a sample. This will catch a few schmucks as I am sure they will have RFID chips and the knock-offs will look great, except they will have either no chip or a bogus chip code.
Let the scalper games begin!

My point is, unless your wristband comes from Sasquatch / Live Nation, it will be impossible to tell if it is real or not. Kind of like running an e-ticket. The only way to authenticate is if you were the first person to receive it.
People always get caught in this, showing up with their "e-ticket" they got in the email and printed at home, or a wristband that is made from printed Doritos' bag Mylar so it looks shiny, and then crying because the guy named “Gus” they gave two bills to for the ticket promised them the ticket was authentic.
I don’t mind scalpers, they help clean out the shallow end of the gene pool.

Ok, that is what I expected. I was just worried they made you show ID with your receipt for your wristband or something like that.
I remember for a Red Hot Chili Peppers concert I went to the tickets were actually non-transferrable because when you showed up to the door they swiped your credit card that you purchased the tickets with through a machine similar to a ticket scanner and you showed matching ID, then the machine printed off your ticket right at the door.

I don’t mind scalpers, they help clean out the shallow end of the gene pool. I don't even know what this means, but I can tell you that it is the wrong thing to say. This: SCALPERS WILL BE BANNED!!! ...is the right thing to say. I guess now is as good a time as any to mention (for the first of what will most likely be literally dozens of times) that Feb. 4 - May 27 is hunting season for your dear old Horned Gramma. There are few things that give me greater pleasure in this cold, miserable life than banning fucking[/b] scalpers. It fills my heart with golden light. And I got an itchy fucking trigger finger, so there will be no warnings and no second chances. Anyone who tries to sell ANY ticket, camping pass, wristband, fucking ANYTHING for a single cent over face value and I will ban you and then destroy your computer with the power of my mind.

It's true. I just hate having a good, respectable, legitimate band sniped from me so I always try to get there first.

I wouldn't exchange any money until confirming the serial number and activation number with a livenation rep over the phone. Though stubhub has been getting better, for someone like me who has gotten bogus tickets from them I never ever trust a blind cash transaction nowadays. Stubhub didn't do anything for me when I told them the ticket I got from them was "cancelled".

Stubhub didn't do anything for me when I told them the ticket I got from them was "cancelled". Interesting, I was under the impression they were pretty legit. They even set up little offices at bigger festivals like Coachella and have extra wristbands in case people got bogus ones through them. I've used them before for a festival in Vegas and it was super easy. Got the wristbands delivered to the hotel and everything went great. I wouldn't use them now though because their fees are insane. They will add like $80 to a Sasquatch ticket give or take. Fuck that noise.

Yeah they are most likely more legitimate now, I should add that my experiences were from 2013 and before. But if they need to charge $80 in fees for something like Sasquatch then I'd imagine they'd have the fakes on lockdown and some kind of insurance on their own part so they don't end up selling bunk tickets/wristbands. I would say you'd have better luck on Craigslist ($$$ wise) and this board. It would suck to pay almost a hundred more for a ticket than everyone else especially if it doesn't sellout ya dig?
