Oh dear god the crowd singing. I might have to leave that show just because of everyone in the audience singing every lyric.

Holy shit they really are putting Macklemore against Vampire Weekend after all. This pisses me off way more than any conflict in the past few years. I wonder who made the stupid decision that those two groups' fan bases are so radically different that no one would be dying to see both. Well guess what, I fall right into that category. I saw VW last time they were at Sasquatch and that has me really wanting to see them again, but I've never seen Macklemore and think a hip hop headliner would be all sorts of fun. This is going to be the worst last minute conflict decision I've ever had to make and I'll be full of regret immediately no matter which I choose. Trying to see both doesn't seem like an option since I'd be missing a minimum of 45 minutes of each set if I tried to cross over.

What I find amusing is that the rest of the weekend for me is virtually conflict-free, but the one that's there is whale-sized. Switching Vampire Weekend into Arctic Monkeys' slot and extending it 15 minutes would have been a solution.

VW and Marklemore don't even overlap that bad, Everyone should be able to see most of both sets.

VW and Marklemore don't even overlap that bad, Everyone should be able to see most of both sets. Anyone trying to see both is going to miss half of each, at a minimum. They overlap as such that Macklemore starts exactly halfway through VW's set. I guess the conflict isn't as bad as it could be, but the problem is I want to see full sets from both of them. Macklemore has a lot of good old songs from before his popularity exploded and those will probably mostly be played during the last half of VW's set.

The Postal Service played their first show last night and there's some videos making their way up. It looks like it could be a pretty solid show this time around. They've got a live drummer which really makes it more interesting for me. Ben is drumming on a few of the live tracks, just like he did their first time around. His role in DCfC often overshadows how talented of a musician he is. Last time I saw them, Ben drummed during an extended outro of "We Looked Like Giants," and it was great!

I just hope that I can make it into the Gorge in time for Vampire Weekend. Leaving Portland at around 2:00 on Friday (earlier if possible), but given that I spent about 3 hours in a car line last time I Sasquatched, I'm slightly nervous. Then again, that was before Friday was a thing - any educated guesses on Friday evening line time?
I've already come to peace with missing Reignwolf, Japandroids, Built to Spill, and maybe Father John Misty and Arctic Monkeys... fuck, that sucks to type.

The past few years it's been about the same for my friends who arrived for Friday night. One car waited for about 3 hours and almost missed Pretty Lights last year because of it! Not to make you nervous or anything...

What you're gonna wanna do is leave approximately 28 hours earlier. I'm doing this entirely wrong.

Also, I need advice - Baths or the 30-minute Killer Mike set?

I'm sticking with Baths and hoping Killer Mike shows up at El-P's set.

Line will be fucking massive on Friday afternoon/evening/night/even into Saturday morning. My advise is to camp at Wildhorse where there is no line and watch the poor suckers in line while drinking beer and throwing frisbee with pregos.

Also, I need advice - Baths or the 30-minute Killer Mike set? I agree with Rustuuu and hope he shows up during El-P's set. But I was just looking at photos from a recent show of Bath's and I thought he was touring with a full band but it was just him. I was really hoping for a full band but what can you do.

Marklemore has two songs. Actually no. He has a lot of songs and the vast majority of them are awesome. That being said, I'll be at Vampire Weekend, and then catch the end of Mack's set. Mostly because I have seen Mack a bunch of times already.

Drew dude, you're making even me not want to camp at wildhorse and I've been camping there before you were a twinkle in your daddy's eye. Give it a rest, hmm?

If so, we can expect some of that new Run the Jewels shit, maybe a bit of Tougher Colder Killer, maybe Butane, but if you wanna hear the majority Mike's shit off R.A.P. then you'll probably have to go to to his set. I haven't seen Baths, but I saw Mike this past summer. Great stage presence, and those songs are a blast live - but he is a very large man, and sometimes he can't keep up with his own lyrics. Still, I'd recommend catching some of the set, if you can.

Sure, in your opinion he has only two songs because that's all they play on the radio. I on the other hand happen to enjoy most of his catalog, which is pretty extensive (somewhere in the area of 80-90 songs). It's great that there's no conflict here for you, but it's a pretty painful one for me.
