I can see them adding another artist to go after The Presets, but I think they're still big enough to close out the dance shack that night. Also, that Friday schedule is misleading given that last year we had an EDM artist headlining that night, hence the early dance tent scheduling. There is no way Mathew Dear and Baauer are going to be playing that early in the night, I can see Baaeur playing during Macklemore at least.

Major Lazer closed the dance tent in 2011 and they play venues way smaller than what the Presets play. I saw the Presets at a 1000 person venue last fall, Major Lazer is playing a 500 person venue this month.
The Presets can headline a night in the tent, simple numbers.

Te Presets are back in March and playing Venue this go around. Makes me wonder how full the commodore was in October.

Interesting...
The Commodore seemed close to sold out, but I think you could still get tickets at the door.

On their site Dropkick Murphy's are listing themselves as playing Friday. www.dropkickmurphys.com/tour/Post confirmations of the dates each artist will be playing, on what stage, and when. I'l keep the first post updated. Sources are required before I will update this post with any info you are providing.

Did you even read the first post that you just quoted? We've got it all pretty much figured out. It looks like they will be on Sunday.
Bands will often list the first day of a festival on their tour page rather than the day they will be playing.

DP in the early afternoon kind of sucks, but everything else is lookin' pretty good. Yeah this seems kind of strange to me, they played in the evening during 2010 right? And they've only become more popular since then. At least it'll be good motivation to get my ass up to enjoy as much of the last day as possible.

They played third from last on the Bigfoot in 2010. Swing Lo Magellan is a significantly less popular record than Bitte Orca, but not this significant.

Bands will often list the first day of a festival on their tour page rather than the day they will be playing. Except if you look at their site they list they are playing Coachella on the 20th which is not the first day of the festival and when they are scheduled to play.

Because Coachella releases a day by day schedule at lineup announcement and Sasquatch does not.
The tables outlining the day by day on the first page are pulled directly from the official site's source code.

Why did he argue? We almost always know exactly what we are talking about. Stupid noobs.

The Murphys will probably get switched to Friday and then we will all feel so stupid.

Looks like they figured out our little source code trick. Seems like its all been removed. I tried to check where Cody ChesnuTT was going to be added. The corporation of sweet sweet vibes sure is trying to be difficult!

The page's source code shows Cody ChesnuTT to be playing Sunday on the Bigfoot stage.

Swing Lo Magellan is a significantly less popular record than Bitte Orca, but not this significant. Oh yeah? I made that assertion based on my own opinion and the relative accessibility of the new LP, but then again, accessibility does not always equal popularity. In any event, you're right, it's a dramatic shift. Weird. We'll see if it sticks in the official schedule. Unrelated: with Red Fang, Japandroids and Arctic Monkey all on opening day, looks like we're seeing the semi-resurrection of Loud Friday. This pleases me. The awesomeness of Foo Dr. Garbanzohters aside, DFA 1979 was one of my favourite shows of 2011...I think I remember reading someone on here saying that mosh pit was "hilarious" in a derogatory way...and it was! Funny, fun, and friendly. Doing the robot during the breakdowns was a lasting memory from that year.
