Wow - blown away by lack of mocking. I was prepared to take hits for the Willy Moon post. Yay! Indeed, I saw Bjork. Aside from being amazing, she won my heart because she is the only performer I have ever seen who appeared to be awkward as me. Of course, she does have unbelievable talent to outweigh the awkwardness. Anyhow, it made me appreciate her live performance much more.

Future noobs take note. She used correct grammar, posted content in the correct thread, and she likes David Lynch.

I'm suprised there's not already a thread for how many times each of us have been to Sasquatch/which years. Maybe there is, I didn't check too hard.

Any great tips on metal/punk/old-fashioned country with this year's lineup would be much appreciated. Japandroids are a pretty straightforward punk band. They are just a drummer and a guitarist and they both sing. They have two albums and are a lot of fun live. Also really nice dudes. Red Fang is a metal type band, but I don't really know anything about them. Torche is under the metal umbrella too, but I don't know much about them either. That's all I got.

I saw Bjork back in the day too! That was my first sasquatch and I never made it back until 2010. That year was great though, two Beastie Boys sets, Arcade Fire, Bjork, it goes on! Anyways, back on topic, here's a review of CHVRCHES from SXSW. It's from Pitchfork so those snobs can't be trusted too much, but it sounds like they will put on a pretty good show. I really hope they don't play 1pm Bigfoot stage like the current schedule looks. pitchfork.com/news/49905-sxsw-chvrches/

Davers - MUCH appreciated. Red Fang was on his list, so that's great. I haven't listened to nearly as much Japandroids as I should have at this point, so I will get on that. Torche is new to me so I will do some homework. Thanks a ton! Yeah - after six years of going without him (my first year was before we started dating) he surprised me early for my birthday by saying he would buckle and accompany me, finally. Admittedly, the range of Sasquatch music is broad and pretty damn eclectic, but it is mostly my kind of music - not his. Thus, the 'uncovering new music' thread seemed perfect. I would like to make it a better-than-miserable experience for him so any bands that fall into those categories will be a lovely addition to my 2013 Sasquatch experience. (off-thread-topic) - Nadine, that's one of my favorite movies ever! (another off-thread-topic) - Dr. Garbanzoinski - I've done enough of my homework to know that a compliment from you should not be taken lightly. Thank you, sir. :-) Also, who DOESN'T like David Lynch? Future noobs take note. She used correct grammar, posted content in the correct thread, and she likes David Lynch.

This was totally me yesterday when I was doing the photoshoot for winning star of the month at work. I didn't know it was possible to forget how to smile but I managed to.
