When it is John Benjamin I go. Usually I have music conflicts, which is why I missed Tim and Eric. what was the conflict with T&E again? I remember being hesitant but Tim & Eric was the main reason a couple of my friends went, so I had to go. Was not that disappointed.

I saw so much good comedy last year. When in doubt, ask Sir Lump. He knows the good shit.

I love Todd Barry. Did you see Red Wine Boys?
The Tim and Eric conflict was Animal Collective. That is one of a handful of bands that would prevent me from seeing at least part of Tim and Eric.

Haha yep! And now the regret is actually seeping back in. But I've seen Anco a couple times before and after that year, so i don't feel as bad. I'm hoping I'll get to see Brett Gelman and maybe Nick Offerman too. I've heard Birbiglia doesn't have much new material though. And I'm surprised Mande has done as well as he has, considering he doesn't really have his delivery down very well. Very funny dude though. He writes some great material.

Never miss Animal Collective. Do not.
I would like to catch Offerman if I can.

Lusine is fucking killer, and they have a new album coming out this month. If the rest is as good as this song then we'll have one hell of an album on our hands.

Last year worked out really well in that the comedy I wanted to see wasn't overlapping anything else. I'm really hoping that the same happens this year but it was probably just a super lucky break.

These are a couple of my favorite tracks of his. Give 'em a shot. They're both very different in style but equally great.

She's hot as hell too and has a devilishly filthy mouth. I'm not really sold on her other tracks I've heard, but that song is ace. She put on a wicked show at Coachella last year. The only problem with it was that it was too short.

The only problem with it was that it was too short. That was my only disappointment last year, I got there 20 mins late, just in time to watch her walk off stage. So I couldn't be more thrilled at a redemption performance (for her and me), and this will not be this year's missed set due to honey bucket naps or the like!

Don't kid yourself, ky, there is nothing else quite like a honey bucket nap.

Wondering if there is any chance of a Black Hippy set.

If you're asking if Kendrick is going to show up randomly to play with Ab-Soul and Schoolboy, that's not gonna happen. Kendrick would be way up on the poster if he was playing. I guess you could get a Jay Rock appearance but that wouldn't really be that exciting.
They usually bill it as a Black Hippy performance if that's what they're actually doing. Look at the Paid Dues poster for an example.

Yeah, I know. Just dreaming! Would be an incredible late addition but I know there's virtually no chance of that.

My discoveries from this year's liney so far: Suuns - Some parts sound kind of like GY!BE with a leash on them, but in a good way. Listened to them a lot last night. Jherek Bischoff - Remind me a lot of Rufus Wainwright. Also, anyone who has Nels Cline and David Byrne as collaborators is going to get my attention. Bombino - Makes me think of Toumani Diabate whom I've seen live a couple times, Bombino seems like a very talented musician. Akron/Family - One of those bands that i knew I'd love, and knew that I'd need to immerse myself in eventually. Very creative and unique, no wonder my Dad and sister are so into them.
