Probably not.

I don't mind Empire of the Sun, but I'm having trouble visualizing a glowpocalypse during their set. Can someone convince me otherwise? Traditionally, the glowpocalypse has taken place during the closing set at the bigfoot on saturday so that the most people possible could participate...Except last year when there were two, one during Pretty Lights on friday and one during Feed Me the next night...

Yeah I thought the Feed Me one was much better, it was more just the musical style of Empire of the Sun is not exactly the 'wait for the drop' type that you usually associate with the glopacalypse.

Is there even any "wait for the drop" acts on this years line-up? I was under the impression that most of that got jettisoned to Paradiso...

Well, if anybody is considering seeing Steve Aoki or Laidback Luke (seriously, is anybody planning on seeing either of them? I'm certainly not), those are the most "drop-likely" artists we've got. And they're both basically party DJ's nowadays with little to no productions in the last few years.
I'll take this year's deep electronic music lineup over one good late night bass dropper any day.

I'll probably see at least a little of Laidback Luke....but yeah the big EDM show is pretty lacking this year.

Rusko is the definition of "wait for the drop."

Rusko is the definition of "wait for the drop." Thanks for clearing that up... That being said, I think it comes down to scheduling, with rusko being the last act on the last day and going against The Postal Service, it falls on EOTS to pick up the slack, being in the prime time-slot at the optimum venue... Sure we may not have drops but we will have theatrics and songs that almost everyone in the house will know and love, and I think that is a good enough compromise for this year.. Is it safe to say that we should all hold our "sticks" until "Walking on a Dream"?

Rusko is the definition of "wait for the drop." Duh, that totally escaped me. In any case, he's going against the Postal Service and that means it's a terrible place to have a glowpocalypse.

Is it safe to say that we should all hold our "sticks" until "Walking on a Dream"? Then I'll throw all the sticks at you if it's not one of their first songs.

That would be appropriate, I can't say that I would be mad.

Rusko is definitely the most bass drop trigger happy option, but there is no way in hell I'm missing the Postal Service just to flail to some womps. I will be saving my sticks for Walking on a Dream, it just feels right.

The Glowpocalypse is unfortunately just a big fat flop this year. Oh well. Mau5 is doing a huge 2014 tour so maybe we'll be able to revise it next year.

Soo how was the glowpocalypse this year? Didn't really happen. I saw only like 2 glowsticks. Also, Empire of the Sun was super quiet due to the Bigfoot's sound being terrible all weekend.

Dropped the ball on this. Although, whoever had a handful of glowsticks they threw when Walking On A Dream dropped, you are the shit!!
