Things gonna get all brown at the gorge. I have that exact same shirt!!! Flying eagles rule. I wish I was going. I've never seen Primus and what better way to be baptized than at The Gorge.

What if you just bought a ticket just in case you get kidnapped like a few days before Sasquatch and your kidnapper brings you to the gorge?
Also, please pm me your address and schedule.

If macklemore is headlining Friday, and it's more of a hiphop theme, then Friday is a throw away day for me. I would rather them scrap Friday and beef up the lineup.

Well its a good thing the line-up isn't based purely on your tastes.

Now that I've sobered up, I'm gonna post my thoughts about the lineup.
FUCKING PRIMUSSSSS. Honestly, I think Primus 3D makes the whole lineup for me. If they weren't on there, I think I'd be pretty disappointed overall.
The headliners this year are kind lame aside from Sigur Ros. It seems like Zachs went for the "trendy" headliners this year, instead of going for the bigger names. Hell, every headliner only has 1-2 albums except for Sigur Ros. If they would have at least one big name headliner in there I think this lineup would have been a lot better.
Also, why were the passes so much more expensive this year? Mumford & Sons? There don't seem to be any bands big enough to warrant the price increase.
But THAT UNDERCARD! So many great bands in there. Lots of names I haven't really gotten into so I'm sure I'll find some new favorites in there.
SO YEAH. THIS SHIT IS GONNA BE AWESOME!

Glad you guys are talking about billing here, I'm very, very curious about how this will break down day by day. I'll second HG when it comes to Primus - given where they are placed on the lineup, I can't imagine they would play any other slot than late night.
I've been thinking about roughly what the end of day main stage lineup will look like based off the order of the actual list (as opposed to the poster) on the official site, and whatever limited personal experience I have had with obsessing about this in years past. This is Sasquatch #8 for me, and I've noticed some patterns over the years. So, down the rabbit hole of conjecture we go...
My one big prediction: we have five headliners, but two of them will co-headline a day and get about ~75 minutes. Co-headliners happened in 09 with NIN/JA, 10 with Pavement/Massive Attack, and 11 with Modest Mouse/Flaming Lips, so there is plenty of precedence. In this case, Macklemore and Postal Service would be the most logical choices to share a day. In fact, Postal Service being almost but not quite headliner material would make Macklemore's billing a lot more understandable - an up and coming NW act paired up with a throwback NW reunion that previously headlined the festival back when it was much smaller in scale. There is a nice balance there that would make for a very solid opening night. I feel strongly that this will happen, if only for the fact that in this group I think Vampire Weekend pretty much has to headline. The new album coming out three weeks before solidifies that in my mind. After the five on top, the next three listed - The XX, The Lumineers, and the Arctic Monkeys - would make perfect sense as subheads for the solo headliners. Well, The Lumineers are still listed far too high, but as an opener for Mumford their billing would at least be logical. With all that in mind...
Friday Azealia Banks >> Macklemore & Ryan Lewis>> The Postal Service Bigfoot Headliner (EITS 2012 slot): Cake
Saturday Imagine Dragons >> The Lumineers >> Mumford & Sons Late Night: Primus 3D
Sunday Bloc Party >> The XX >> Sigur Ros Late Night: Empire of the Sun
Monday Edward Sharpe >> Arctic Monkeys >> Vampire Weekend Bigfoot Headliner: Andrew Bird
...The days themselves are pretty much interchangeable, though I think Mumford will do Saturday, and I'd be a bit surprised to see Sigur Ros taking Friday. Just now remembering Primavera scheduling realities - switch Friday and Monday if Friday doesn't work for Postal Service and the effect is the same.

Pretty crazy that an unlisted guy who played for 5 muinutes last year before Pretty Lights is probably headlining this year. Dude has had one hell of a year. He is going to put on a freaking awesome show, I would love to be there.

If this speculation of Imagine Dragons --> Lumineers --> Mumford becomes a reality, I might not even show up at the mainstage that day. It will be a 7pm showup, banana shack/bigfoot day for me.

I still don't buy Primus late-night. Maybe closing the bigfoot during Mumford?

I still don't buy Primus late-night. Maybe closing the bigfoot during Mumford? I really hope not. That would be a damn shame. Not only does it really need to be dark to do the 3D, a Primus show is a serious thing. It needs to be a late night event.

Why not late night? 3D show requires darkness and they have a huge catalog. Late night sets don't have to be EDM. The Roots, EITS, Ratatat...

Other than Geno, I don't think anyone under the age of 30 gives a shit about Primus.

That's the only point I'll concede - they don't have super broad appeal. But I think the spectacle of a 3D show offsets that.

Truth is, we know Snacks booked Primus exclusively because we've been asking him to for two years, so he should schedule them wherever we see fit.
