Listening to you idiots talk about Daft Punk is like listening to virgins talk about how everyone else should stop obsessing over sex because it's no big deal. I was there for that shit, and I don't plan to ever stop making people smell my fingers. I'm 100% behind these posts. That shit was magic.

Seriously. Thank you. Daft Punk knows they're never going to change live music the way they did with their pyramid, and they're plenty smart enough not to try and fail. If you are implying Daft Punk isn't ever touring again, I vehemently disagree with both of you. They will, but I don't think the route they're going to take is the Coachella Gave Us Half a Million Dollars for One Performance So Let's Do Like Whut We Done Did Last Time Except For Way Cooler route.

They aren't at Coachella because they aren't ready, and multiply your half million payday times ten. Coachella has a ton of money, and their profit is doubled now. They probably have enough to make Daft Punk's return a Coachella exclusive, even if 2014. We'll see how much money Lollapalooza throws at them, because if the album is coming out in May, they'll be ready to tour shortly after.

Last time I saw Iggy at a festival it was Bumbershoot '05 and he didn't even fill half the stadium. I saw Iggy headline a festival last summer in a country where the main language isn't even english. Granted I knew maybe 5 other bands on the lineup (lots of french speaking bands and whatnot) but him and the Stooges were great and I would be thrilled if he was at Sasquatch. I have no idea where he would be on the Sasquatch lineup and I don't expect him there, but the dude is still a great time live.

I should have clarified that they probably won't be playing any North American festivals this year. Don't get me wrong, I saw the pyramid show at Lollapalooza and thought that it was incredible (beyond incredible actually), but it's just the same shit year after year...Daft Punk should play!!! Daft Punk's playing!!! Damn, Daft Punk's not playing. It's just gotten tiresome.

Just like everybody who says there's a new Avalanches album coming out every single year. "IT COULD HAPPEN!" No. No it won't.

What is with people thinking that the Knife will sub-head? That is fucking absurd.

What is with people thinking that the Knife will sub-head? That is fucking absurd. Is it, though? If Girl Talk can subhead for Pretty Lights, if DFA1979 can do the same for Foo Dr. Garbanzohters, can't the Knife take that slot supporting (hypothetical example) DeadMau5? I'll admit, I could easily just be overestimating their popularity. Ultimately, I don't really care when/what stage they show up on, I'd just be happy to see them there at all.

Girl Talk and DFA1979 are nowhere in the league of the Knife.

Girl Talk and DFA1979 are nowhere in the league of the Knife. Well, now I'm just genuinely curious to see where they're billed if they make it in. I had been thinking subhead seemed realistic based off their placement on the Primavera poster, but I guess that doesn't mean shit really. Billing in general has become really confusing to me. I'm optimistic that we'll get a great lineup though. As long as Ben Harper doesn't happen again, I'm good.
