Even though one of our rivals (I forget which one) tried to sabotage us by getting all their fans to vote Nickelback. It was funny, even The End was trying to get people to vote for Japandroids for us n' shit.

Well thank fucking Christ nothing worked out with Kesler for me. Bahahahahhaa It's nice to see you so involved with this little math game we're playing, but the first rule of fantasy sports is to never actively root against your favorite team. Turns out, the joke is on you, and that is deserving of a "bahahahajajaja."

lol, ya ya. I'd pretty much resigned to him missing most of the year anyway so this doesn't bother me as much as it probably should.

lol, ya ya. I'd pretty much resigned to him missing most of the year anyway so this doesn't bother me as much as it probably should. There are so many starting positions in this league (17!), injuries aren't a big deal. I learned really quick the difference between a stud and a scrub in fantasy hockey is nearly zero per night. The studs will prevail in the long haul, but by how much? Fantasy basketball on the other hand has only 10 starting positions. The difference between a stud and a scrub in the NBA is gigantic every night. Injuries in fantasy basketball can and has ruined my team. 4/10 of my best players are out for the year with injuries. Injuries in Fantasy Football are even worse. You only have 9 starting positions, and three of them don't really count. Losing one stud in fantasy football ruins your team.

That makes me feel better about dropping him. I was going to pick him back up right before you snagged him.
And I hate the Canucks.....WIN WIN

Just thought I'd throw it out there, if you ever need a replacement manager hit me up. I'm heavily involved in hockey pools, both as a participant and commissioner. I have everything from standard pools to Dynasty teams on the go right now and am always up for more. Very active manager. On a side note, HEY EMPTYFOX- are we in a pool together?? In a Yahoo Fantasy league I am in (Hart's Hat Trick) there is a team with the same name as yours (I think it's yours) "Don't Toews Me Bro"... small world if we are!

Haha, no I just pulled that name off a google search for funny fantasy hockey team names. I'm not very creative.

Haha, fair enough. Too bad, I had a sweet trade lined up for ya ;-) Anyways, I'm always down for hockey so if the league expands next year and you need someone, count me in.

Who is 'winning' this trade so far? I'm pretty sure Wonk won, but I just hated having that bum on my team. They still have the same amount of points, and aside from that one crazy night for Ovi , I think they are both under-performing superstars.

They still have the same amount of points, and aside from that one crazy night for Ovi , I think they are both under-performing superstars. It's pretty much exactly how I thought it would play out. Ovechkin will get a few more shots and a higher ATOI, and Sharp will have a higher plus/minus. I'm surprised Sharp is playing so many minutes all of the sudden. It's pretty even so far. More to come... EDIT: I haven't watched regular season hockey in a long time, but I love the new OT rules. MLS would be so much more exciting if they weren't allowed to tie. Fuck I hate watching two hours of soccer ending in a tie.

I'm aware this thread is specifically designed for those participating in the fantasy league, but this needed to be shared.
Hockey, the leader in edge of your seat excitement!!!

Wonk's trade offer seems to be decent but I'm too much of a wimp to pull the trigger.

I had to cancel the offer anyway. One of the players involved is in a trade Switch accepted.

Crap. I should have accepted. I just feel like trying to improve my PIM is tough.. it seems like too volatile of a stat.
