I've only listened to StH once but you might as well add it to my list as well.

Same here, but come on like holy shit. Holy shit to that.
By the way, Pea, you can update your own list.

Haha I know. I feel like it's somehow disrespectful to Burrito though, unless he's cool with us helping him with the updates.

I often put albums that I like on other people's lists just because I can.

The name is truly awful, but the album is tasty.

I'm thinking Shaking the Habitual will be a perfect 10 on Pitchfoo

AMOK grows on me every single time I listen to it. I wouldn't be surprised to see that one end up on my list by the end of the year.

It's a grower for sure. I dismissed it at first but I kept wanting to listen to it. The Eraser was the same way, back when

I'm thinking Shaking the Habitual will be a perfect 10 on Pitchfoo As the resident expert, I'm going to guess low 9's. It has all of the hallmarks of the 10 but the 40ish minutes of ambient noise on the album is going to be a bit much to overcome. At least in my mind it seems like they sabotage the momentum they build at numerous points in the album. Still an incredible achievement but they're not going to give a 10 to an album with 40 minutes of music that the vast majority of listeners will skip.

That's a pretty fair assessment. I think high 9s now. They've hyped it so much themselves I think anything less wouldn't be satisfactory.

The cool thing about this album is that you can either listen to it as a whole, with movements separated by the ambient tracks, or you can pass them by completely and have a more streamlined listening experience by skipping them altogether. The former being a challenging and likely more rewarding result, and the l.atter being a more compact collection of terrific songs. I don't think either way is doing it wrong.

What the fuck is up with the human race and their general disdain for long, ambient tracks interspersed with dance numbers? That is the best part about this album, fucking balance.
I have been busy and mostly boarding on my phone. In other words, PEA UPDATE YER OWN DAMN LIST AND WHILE YER AT IT PUT THE FUCKING KNIFE ON ERRYBODYS.
