Actually? You guys are crazy, or I'm drunk...one of the 3. Every time I listen to The Soft Bulletin I just think of that terrible performance and how I never got to hear The Gash live even though they only had to play a 45 minute album in 90 fucking minutes. I still listen to it, but it's not quite the same.

DONT YOU UNDERSTAND DEPRECIATION? AAAAAAH! Oh yeah, the album loses 14% of the original value as soon as it leaves the lot...right??? Actually that's pretty close, but the depreciation on a record that has been spun a couple times is more like 27% Since I have been accused of being the moral dictator of what is fair involving a board transaction, I'll PM you guys the price you have to pay, and I'll charge you $5.00 for my services. This is precisely the reason I avoid thinking. Problem solved. Word.

Yeah that "performance" changed my whole opinion of the Flaming Lips and it kind of kick started the whole "I've been too high for too long for my own good" period that they have been in as of late...Wayne Coyne has turned into quite the whiner lately, I barely made it through one listen through the new album...

This new Mice Parade is like the best Mice Parade. I don't even like mice as friends, but I would parade all over town with them to these chunes.

BOARDS OF CANADA - TOMORROW'S HARVEST
I love this so much. Instantly at the top of my 2013 list. 'Cold Earth', 'Palace Posy', 'Split Your Infinities', and pretty much all of these tracks are the best they've ever created.

I would like to add Queens Of The Stone Age - ...Like Clockwork to my list. The more I listen to it the more I like it.
I am sorry for my next request, Mr. Burrito, but could you remove The Knife - Shaking The Habitual from my list? I have come to the conclusion that I do like the album but it is not one of my favorites of the year.

The National - Trouble Will Find Me
This album has been growing on me very intensely. Some of the lyrics hit very close to home and I love that Matt is experimenting more with his voice.
The second half of the album is stronger than the first half--my favorite song is probably Pink Rabbits. My favorite album is still Sad Songs for Dirty Lovers but this one is a great addition to the collection. Another dreary album that will most certainly drive my wife crazy after I overplay it a thousand times at 3am.
Matt doesn't disappoint with the great lyrics once again:
"Oh, everyday I start so great, then the sunlight dims. Less I've learned, the more I see the pythons and the limbs. Do not know what's wrong with me, sours in the cup. When I walk into a room I do not light it up. Fuck."
"As the free-fall advances, I'm the moron who dances. I was teething on roses, I was in guns and noses"
"Remember when you lost your shit and drove the car into the garden, and you got out and said I’m sorry to the vines and no one saw it? I need my girl. I need my girl."
So good!
Did anyone catch them when they were on Colbert? The interview with Matt was probably one of the most awkward interviews I have ever seen.
