At least give Shaking the Habitual one good listen. I will take it off you list regardless, but I think we all owe it to the Knife to give the habitual at least one solid shake.

How many of you have heard Monomania? What's the deal with this record? It's all over the fuckin' place. There are so many straight-forward, simple songs based on specific tones, and then they've got songs like 'Leather Jacket II' that sound like all of the previous Deerhunter records playing on top of each other. The title track has a motorcycle at the end of it? 'Nitebike' is rad. 'Pensacola' is rad. 'Dream Captain' is rad. Can you dig it?

I'm digging it, but I agree. It's a thoroughly confusing listen, but it's got a lot of great tracks. The Missing-Pensacola-Dream Captain might be my favorite segment of the album, and possibly one of my favorite segments of any Deerhunter LP.

I'm in the vast minority that thought Halycon Digest was really boring and wish they'd get back to the sounds of Cryptograms. This isn't exactly that but I enjoy it more that HD.

Deerhunter was rad...Then I saw the lightning storm show on the rail within feet of the stage...They transcended rad...

I was just smoking my pipe in my thinking chair reminiscing about how Nothing Ever Happened->Helicopter->He Would Have Laughed was probably the best half hour of my life.
