You're kidding yourself if you don't think the entire Gorge would light up like one enormous blunt when Sigur Ros took the stage.

Yah. The joke is on me. I'm sure I'm in the minority, but shitty elevator music holds little appeal for me. The Banana shack will not let me down during this time of that I am confident!

You've clearly listened to their entire catalog and made an educated and informed assessment. Have fun in the Banana Shack! Don't forget:

Played through the albums Von, Angels of the Universe, and Valtari. Maybe the live translation is better. I'll give it a shot, but it seems a strange act to book at a festival.

So I spent the better part of my day listening to Sigur Ros so as to prepare myself. How in the nine hells does this fit in at a festival? 40,000 people with their party face on just doesn't seem befitting of a band that plays classical music badly(whatever that's what it sounds like). Are people taking their mom to the opera house or is this a fucking party? I can already feel myself having a strong acquaintance with Banana, Bigfoot, and Yeti. Which is fine, that's how 2011 was. yeah because bonny bear last year was totally for people with their party faces on...

You happened to choose all of their softest softies. Give any of their other albums a shot and you will have a much better idea of what to expect. I suggest Takk...

When I intake music it usually consists of a heavy dose of multiple album offerings. Behold the magic of Zune(such an under rated service). I've got 9 hours of music to play every day that I work so I intake a lot. The board has been a great source for finding new music which I graciously share with every customer that wanders on in.
There's so much hype behind this Sigur Ros, I was hoping some major fan of theirs who has seen them live could sell me on how awesome they are.

I think She and Him are boring. I would love to see Solange. I just want to meet her and hang out.

It would be very engaging, even if you aren't completely sold on the music. Also, as someone else said, try out Takk and ( ). Both are excellent.

I'm not a HUGE fan of Sigur Ros, but I can confirm that they put on an incredible show. Try giving Takk... a listen. It's easily their most accessible album, and they usually play a lot of material from it in their shows.
