It's definitely an overused word. People just use it as an insult for anyone who have interests that go against the mainstream nowadays. But this guy is the true kind of hipster. Someone who AVOIDS anything even remotely popular. Why the fuck would you brag about only seeing small bands at a music festival that you spent $300 on? |

I guess my clothes, being a GF vegan and also liking vintage things qualifies me as a hipster. I really wish hipster would stop being a thing just so I can use it in the 1940s kinda way when someone really is cool and hip and ahead of the curve vs. the placeholder for "pretentious". |

I prefer a ton of unknowns, well unknown to most. I'm dying to know which 'unknowns' you are referring to. You must certainly have had truly wearying amounts of time to seek them out in your 2.4 decades of exhausting life. I guess I mean the unknowns amongst my circle of friends, the bands that no-one had heard of before the lineup, except for me. My friends don't have very wide music tastes. From last year I would say; NobodyBeatsTheDrum, a band from Amsterdam who had a very interesting live show. Apparat, who I think should not have been in the Banana shack. Purity Ring, who were great.
