Dammit I hope it's not boring. If nothing else the crowd should be interesting to watch.
I hope they don't suck too hard because I don't have much interest in Aoki or Rusko.

Chvrches will be pretty good. I have seen some of their live videos and they sound good but the crowd looks a little confused and bored in all their videos.
I saw death cab at red rocks about two years ago, even though I think they are a great band it was a terrible live show. No energy whatsoever. Hopefully postal service will be a little more fun.

Monday usually has a slightly weaker lineup than the prior days because they know some people are going to take off to get home for work on Tuesday. Tenacious D and Beck? That was one of my favorite moments from any Sasquatch. Also, Wilco's chill set the year before was also one of my favorite sets of all time--I might be the only one who thinks that though.

Beck and Wilco were both great closers. The year before that was Ween closing out the festival. Nothing's better than Ween. However, Postal Service is completely uninteresting and should be a snoozefest.

I'm surprised that nobody is excited for the Postal Service. According to Gramma: If Postal Service happened, it would be a REALLY big deal.

I am excited for the Postal Service. I'm not expecting my mind to be blown, but I am definitely going to chop it up and watch from the hill.

I'm excited, but my expectations are low since I have seen no evidence they are any good live. If nothing else it will be fun to sing along to all those songs I loved back in the day.

You're mixing up quality with popularity. I love Beck and Wilco but they're both much smaller draws than the bands that are selected to headline Saturday/Sunday.

Bullshit, Beck was 2nd on the lineup and the D was (I think) 5th. Last year was an anomaly, maybe because they could only get Beck for the Monday or something.
If not for last year, I would agree that Monday usually has the weakest headliners in terms of draw.

Smaller draws for people who don't have their priorities straight. Beck was the biggest draw for me last year. Tenacious D was 2nd.

Postal Service WOULD have been a big deal if they had ended up being a NW exclusive. Considering they're on pretty much every lineup in the country and are headlining venues at every city in between, it ends up not being such a big deal after all.
We're all gonna watch 'em, they're gonna suck, and we're going to spend the next five years laughing about what a waste of time they were.

I'm gonna love the hell out of that Postal Service set.

...unless they suck. Let's face it: Ben Gibbard is NOT the most dynamic performer out there, and the thing that was always appealing about Give Up is that it is generally nothing more or less than pleasant.

It's not like I'm expecting a killer live show. I'm more excited to experience fond, nostalgic songs performed to a crowd who've probably never heard them live. A cool stage presence would be nice, but it won't affect my enjoyment of the music itself.

Ima do the same thing at postal service as I did when I last saw death cab at bumbershoot, find a spot under a light and start a hack circle...Meet some new folks and have a kick of nostalgia...
