Seriously though, to me the YYYs seemed more likely than almost any other band to be there this year. They have a month-long gap in their tour from May 19th to June 22nd and don't have any northwest dates yet. That and they're basically perfect for Sasquatch in my eyes. I was pretty devastated not seeing them on the lineup poster last month, it's the only omission that keeps this year's lineup from being my favorite yet.

Yea I think they would be a great add for a already stellar lineup. Has anyone heard chvrches? I came across them last night on the radio and they kind of remind me of the knife. Not as good but a guilty pleasure.

A BAND THAT HAS ALREADY SUB-HEADLINED A NIGHT OF THE FESTIVAL WILL NOT BE A LATE ADD

After Elvis Costello got added I wouldn't rule anything out, but it's pretty unlikely.

After Elvis Costello got added I wouldn't rule anything out, but it's pretty unlikely. One sub-headlining add is an incredibly big deal. Two sub-headlining additions, to a festival that sold out instantly would be completely absurd.

I agree, I was just saying that 2 weeks ago I would have thought the YYYs getting added was about a million time more likely than Elvis Costello, but it happened.
Monday does have a pretty weak headliner and subheadliner, (Postal Service and The Lumineers) but I would still be shocked if they added another huge band.

Yeah Yeah Yeas are obviously headlining Sasquatch 2014.

I agree that Monday night is weak. Frankly it almost makes more sense to have Rusko or Cake sub over The Lumineers. By far the weakest of the subs. I know this wont happen because of the poster order. If there was another sub to be added Monday is the day.

If the YYYs were added to Monday I would almost expect them to headline over the Postal Service. As much as I love 'Give Up' (not as much now, but it meant a lot to me as a 16 year old) touring a 10 year old album with no new material shouldn't make you a headliner unless that album was Revolver or something.

Regardless of what you think about the Postal Service, they're mostly playing arenas. You better believe that they're headlining a festival in Gibbard's home state. Monday usually has a slightly weaker lineup than the prior days because they know some people are going to take off to get home for work on Tuesday.

Yeah, Sasquatch does give local acts a way higher billing, that's why I said "almost expect". They are behind the XX and basically the same spot as the YYYs on the Coachella lineup, but with Ben being from Washington they would give it to him.
I was hoping they were getting away from weak Monday considering last year's Monday had arguably the best headliner/sub combo of the weekend.
This is all dumb anyway, they YYYs aren't going to be added.

When The Postal Service came out with their album they didn't do a whole lot of touring behind it, so I'd say that's also a big factor in their headline status. Almost nobody who will be at the festival has seen them live before, in a region of the country where people (me included) went apeshit over that album.
I'm also still operating under the assumption music will go to 1am on Bigfoot every day this year. It's hard to believe that they'd pit Rusko against Steve Aoki on two stages right next to each other on the closing night.

I saw a video from the last time they played Sasquatch and man did it look lame. They had better have something cool happening because Ben awkwardly jumping around with a mic while the other dude makes bleep bloop noises does not warrent a headlining slot in my books.
I have faith they will make it a lot more interesting though.

I have never seen an interesting show by Ben Gibbard. I doubt postal service will be any better.

CHVRCHES. I'm not yelling, that's just how they spell it.
They do sounds a lot like the Knife's earlier stuff, I still want to see them.

I know you aren't yelling, Daver. I was trying to understand what that guy was saying.
Postal Service is going to be boring.
