More importantly this puts Rodrigo y Gabriela on the west coast just before Sasquatch. If I could pull any band off that list for Sasquatch, it would be them.
These are the type of people that will be at Bottle Rock in Napa, CA:
Jennifer Hatton: The last 3 day music festival I attended was Steve Wozniak's US Festival, Memorial Weekend 1983. BottleRock will almost be 30 years to the date of US '83. I was 15 then, rockin my ass off!!! At 45, planning on doing the same sans Dolphin shorts and half tee
That being said, I might go. Close by, and I'd love to see Iron and Wine, Cake, and the Flaming Lips I guess. Also beer and food.
"“Men have been taught that it is a virtue to agree with others. But the creator is the man who disagrees. Men have been taught that it is a virtue to swim with the current. But the creator is the man who goes against the current. Men have been taught that it is a virtue to stand together. But the creator is the man who stands alone"
So I spent the better part of my day listening to Sigur Ros so as to prepare myself. How in the nine hells does this fit in at a festival? 40,000 people with their party face on just doesn't seem befitting of a band that plays classical music badly(whatever that's what it sounds like).
1) Believe it or not, this shit can get pretty heavy live. Talkin’ silence to violence. Patience grasshopper, enjoy the slow build. 2) (corn chips) WHALES. ZYLOPHONES. BOWED GUITAR. Turn that shit up, it’s meant to be listened to loudly. 3) Not sure why it won't allow me to embed the video but here's the link www.youtube.com/watch?v=yWYH6frn3og
Oh man oh man, I wish it were Monday already! I'm getting so damn excited for the lineup release (and board party of course!). I'm all like "Can't wait 'till the weekend is over!" which is fucked up 'cause of jobs.
