I bet the special guest is Prince.
Fuck why does this have to be on a Monday?

Fantastic, but that album meant a lot to a lot of people. Most of which never got to experience it live. I think you could say that of a lot of albums. It was an honest question, I just don't know why people are so excited. I guess I am just over Gibbard.

I'm not a fan of anything else Ben Gibbard has ever been involved with, but like I said, that album was monumental for me in high school. That, along with Our Endless Numbered Days really got me through some hard times and introduced entire new genres of music to me when I was starting to lose interest in metal. I got to see Iron & Wine in 2007, but I never got a chance to see the Postal Service. Seeing those songs performed live will be very important to me.

[soundcloud]https://soundcloud.com/disclosuremusic/white-noise-ft-alunageorge[/soundcloud] So so so so good. I just started checking out some of some of their stuff. Some great tracks. I like this style. Now it's going to be pretty disappointing if they don't end up on the lineup.

Death Cab has become kind of stale for me the past 3 or 4 years, but reviving the Postal Service is awesome. I'm assuming this means they're working on a new album, let's hope they don't kill the legacy of that band by putting out something that stinks compared to Give Up.

He confirmed that there's no new album in the works.

I don't understand why they would create a new website if they're not even making another album. Would they just add a bunch of content about their old album and touring? Most band websites are based off of an album.
Edit: They are releasing a 10th Anniversary Deluxe Edition of Give Up.

BUILT TO SPILL CONFIRMED!! Oh dear. Same night as Ben folds 5. God, it'd be so awesome if they finished their set at the Showbox then hopped over to the Neptune but doubtful cause they're, like, old. Also, we will be in Portland (for built To spill) when they start giving out tickets on Saturday... Decisions, decisions.

Listening to Give Up right now. It's exactly as half-okay as I remember it.
Like, exactly half-okay. The first five songs are great; the second five songs sound brand new to me every time I hear them, because they are entirely forgettable.
Cool for people who who were, like, emotionally vulnerable ten years ago. This album was strictly go-to for me when I broke up with a girl who I didn't particularly like and had spare drugs kickin' around my folks house.

I just watched the BF5 guitar center session (recorded just a few months ago) and he's talking about how Built to Spill has been his favorite band for almost 2 decades... BF5 special guests at Sasquatch Launch Party!?!?
