Nick Cave is curiously missing from most festival lineups which leads me to believe he's not a fan of festivals. Yes I know, he's played festivals before, but it's rare. I had an interesting conversation with some friends tonight about "can't miss bands." It would be an interesting thread topic. Nick Cave in any form is something I will never miss live. I caught the Bad Seeds once, and road tripped to Seattle to see Grinderman. He is a fantastic performer. I hold him in nearly the same light as Frank Zappa, a musical genius who is way before his time. |

A couple songs to get you affiliated, if you've never listened to Nick Cave: No Pussy Blues: It's a Grinderman song which came out five years ago. It's fun even if non-PC. Daver would appreciate. Wilco announced Solid Sound 2013, a festival they curate and play. It's June 21-23 in Massachusetts. They're touring until mid-April, ending in Tokyo on April 12. I'd say it's possible that they'll play some festival dates this spring/summer.

Only the Flaming Lips and Ben Harper get that kind of turn around |

No, there were artists that played both last year. It is possible to make it from Illinois to Washington in a day or so. |
