Wilco announced Solid Sound 2013, a festival they curate and play. It's June 21-23 in Massachusetts. They're touring until mid-April, ending in Tokyo on April 12. I'd say it's possible that they'll play some festival dates this spring/summer. They just played 2 years ago, it's a bit too soon for a homecoming. Only the Flaming Lips and Ben Harper get that kind of turn around

No, there were artists that played both last year. It is possible to make it from Illinois to Washington in a day or so.

Bassnectar and Skrillex played both festivals 2 years ago, and Pretty Lights played both last year.

Nick Cave just announced dates with Sharon Van Etten opening. No west coast shows and tour goes through April. What does it mean?
Also (thanks Pitchfork) Arcade Fire recently showcased some new tunes. Considering they last appeared as a subheadliner in 2007, I could easily see them returning as one of "the" headliners.

As nice as it would be for Arcade Fire to be there, they wont be. When they headlined ACL last year they said it would be there last show for 3-4 years.

Who knows, maybe they'll be touring sooner than they anticipated. Maybe this new album will be coming out sooner than expected. I think this secret show might be a good indication that they'll be playing at least a few shows sooner than that timeframe they gave at ACL.

Looking at the show calendar for the Neptune theater while looking for Residents ticket info, I see that Seattle Rock Orchestra's current show is -- ready? excited? -- Smashing Pumpkins.
So when they inevitably show up on the lineup, it'll be even more underwhelming than usual.

I'm actually perfectly fine with those bozos playing Sasquatch. They'll always get stuck with the noon slot, thus giving me one less reason to feel rushed in the morning.

Agreed. It's nice being able to down a few breakfast beers and head into the venue around 1 or 2.

New Phoenix album announced for April. They could make an appearance at the festival (would be pretty cool).

Phoenix is boring as shit. Ha, that is kind of why I haven't listened to the album. The tracks I heard didn't strike me in any way but I always hear/read people talk about it like it is some sort of modern classic

I always hear/read people talk about it like it is some sort of modern classic Well, there's your first clue. It is mindless, overproduced radio trash. Like, people have 'Lisztomania' in their iTunes alongside a bunch of fucking Beyonce and and Justin Timberlake and then they will go on about how they 'listen to everything' kind of shit.
