Yeah no shit, Giorgio by Moroder is craaaaaaaaazy good. This album is absolutely the best of the year so far for me. One listen is all I need for that judgement. Further listens will determine how high on the all time albums list it goes. Holy jesus this is good. I don't even know where to being explaining how awesome every song is.
This album is nowhere near the super sexy disco dance party I was expecting. It's sprinkled throughout, but there is so fucking much going on in here I don't even know what to think. It's overwhelming.
Within: interlude. I just need to cool down after Giorgio. Holy moly. Whatever. Instant Crush: ummm, ok? Best thing Julian has done in years....but yeah, its pretty good. I'm at the point where I'm shocked at the live instrumentation. Like Pea said, what a bunch of trolls. Kings of EDM: Switch to live instruments
The second half of the album is much better than the first. The Game of Love is definitely a fucking dud, and overstays it's welcome by at least 3 minutes. There are actually a few tracks that could have benefited from having a bit of them shaved off the end, but overall I'm very pleased with this album so far. It will take me a long time to digest, that's for sure. I just can't shake the feeling that I need to buy a little space capsule and lose my mind to it while sailing through galaxies. Motherboard especially. Jesus fucking Christ.
I like the album a lot after two listens. The only track that does nothing for me is Touch which is a shame cause it's like 9 minutes long. Other than that the only bad thing I can think of is that a bunch of inferior bands are going to try to rip this sound off and run it into the ground quickly.
Lose Yourself: Rodgers is the third member of DP. They were not kidding about doing this live. Pharell is still 40. Benjamin Button. Touch: acid disco. Burrito and G-ma. Get into this.God damn, this is Daft Punk. Holy shit, this is a trip. MAMA TOLD ME NOT TO COME.
