The second half of the album is much better than the first. The Game of Love is definitely a fucking dud, and overstays it's welcome by at least 3 minutes. There are actually a few tracks that could have benefited from having a bit of them shaved off the end, but overall I'm very pleased with this album so far. It will take me a long time to digest, that's for sure. I just can't shake the feeling that I need to buy a little space capsule and lose my mind to it while sailing through galaxies. Motherboard especially. Jesus fucking Christ.

Yes. This album sounds like Daft Punk the way a hot dog looks like an apple.

I like the album a lot after two listens. The only track that does nothing for me is Touch which is a shame cause it's like 9 minutes long. Other than that the only bad thing I can think of is that a bunch of inferior bands are going to try to rip this sound off and run it into the ground quickly.

Lose Yourself: Rodgers is the third member of DP. They were not kidding about doing this live. Pharell is still 40. Benjamin Button. Touch: acid disco. Burrito and G-ma. Get into this.God damn, this is Daft Punk. Holy shit, this is a trip. MAMA TOLD ME NOT TO COME.

I loved Beyond on my second listen. Give it another try. It sets up Motherboard beautifully.

Top 3 songs so far: Giorgio By Moroder (duh, holy shit), Lose Yourself To Dance, and Doin' It Right. After another few listens tomorrow it might be totally opposite, but that's where we stand.
I think Contact is an incredible way to end the album. Seeing Contact live will be the defining moment of the next Daft Punk tour, whenever it ends up happening. I can imagine them ending a set with it in a blaze of pure french glory.

Word. Contact is amazing. Can't wait to see someone do the drums for that tune.

So the big question is....how are they going to do this live?
It's got to be a live band, right?

It's either a live band tour, or the following scenario:
They said in their interview with Pete Tong that they will likely not have other people do official remixes of the songs, but instead do remixes of their own music. I could see them making dance mixes of each song and putting on a crazy live tour a la Alive 2007 except in some other awesome new way.

If you listen to Random Access Memories in itunes, and have the Tron soundtrack in there, Contact ends, and Overture from Tron starts. It's a pretty fucking cool transition.

Fuck you all. The internet in my hotel is broken and I'm listening to the the new Vampire Weekend which I just got yesterday for the third time. It's good, so much better than their last, but that didn't do much for me. So far not as good as their first album, but I'll give it some time. Unbelievers is a killer track.

I must be the only person on the internet who thought the album was forgettable and mostly boring. Sigh. Oh wait, I found one FB friend who agrees, so now there are 2 of us on the entire internet who think it's boring.
