Seriously, though. I personally vow to give you shit if you miss two consecutive Sasquatches.

Not all David Bowie is the shit, but he is the shit. Watch this and tell me you still think David Bowie is the shit:

Also Bjorrito, but I'm fairly convinced that y'all are just afraid of my backlash. The amount of times I've forced myself to listen to Bjork ------------------------------------------------------------- = UNDEFINED The amount of times I've been in the mood to listen to Bjork

Bjork is guilty of more wankery than the Grateful Dead.

It's a little early to say this, but we may forego festivals next year and drive to Alaska.... That's one of the dumbest statements I'v ever heard. I just went to Alaska (sort of, the little handle part) and while it was pretty cool, if I didn't get paid to drive there it would have been questionable if it was worth the drive. Missing Sasquatch for that is just insanity. You should just go right after Sasquatch, it's only like a 3 day drive to the Yukon, tops. You can make both work. It wouldn't just be for the sake of going to Alaska, although driving there is definitely appealing to me. I'd be visiting a very dear Quatcher friend who is about to spend the next year or so of her life travelling South America, and then immediately moving to Denali Park, AK for the summer. We would definitely be going after Sasquatch takes place. It's more a money thing then a time thing. I want to make both work if possible, because I'm just not doing Coachella again next year, but there are also other things at work here. There may be marriage and baby Foxes in the not so distant future (see next few years, nothing immediate)... and babies don't like Animal Collective... ya dig?

WHY THE FUCK DOES EVERYONE GO TO FUCKING DENALI PARK!?
That place is like a vortex for people I care about.

I feel bad for Lumpy, who's going to read this all at, like, 10am on Saturday morning and be all like "FUUUUUUUUUUUƧK" You know me too well. It's 11:19AM on Saturday...

Oh and too late I guess, but my beginners order of listening to Built to Spill albums would go like this.
There's Nothing Wrong With Love Perfect From Now On
Then,
If you want more noizzze: Ultimate Alternative Wavers Keep It Like a Secret Ancient Melodies of the Future
If you want more pop: Keep It Like a Secret Ancient Melodies of the Future Ultimate Alternative Wavers
Then, ya know, You in Reverse and There Is No Enemy at your leisure.
OH OH OH, don't forget to listen Live, because, you know they're a great live band. Obviously.
And have we discussed Ultimate Alternative Wavers on this board yet? I love that album. It has some of my favorite BTS songs ("Three Years Ago Today", "Nowhere Nothin' Fuckup", etc.), but I don't ever hear it get talked about by anyone ever... except for myself to other people.

My BtS/The Knife listening party got cut off that night so I only made it most of the way through "Silent Shout". Not to worry though, all of that is cued up for today... after I listen to Veckatimest in prep for tomorrow night and take my laptop in for an overpriced repair.

Lumpy do not disparage contemporary Built to Spill!

I know it sounds like I did, but I promise I didn't!
That wasn't necessarily my order of good records to bad records (which I really think BTS has none of). It was more a listening path! I love both of those! I love everything BTS does.

Alright, yeah, I see your point. Those last two records are like comfort food for people who already get what Built to Spill is doing.

My very favorite Buil to Spill song is 'Get a Life'. They played it last time I saw them, along with my sentimental favorite 'Stab'. I pooped my pants a little bit at that show.
