I would say those emails were likely related to the accidental posting of the 2006 Sasquatch lineup on Pollstar a couple weeks back..
I'd be pretty shocked to see either those bands in the lineup come Monday (although with the Flaming Lips who knows)
On another bad note:
Cat Power Tour Dates 05-26 Lisbon, Portugal - Coliseum 05-28 Porto, Portugal - Coliseum 05-30 Barcelona, Spain - Primavera Sound Festival
Guess I won't end up predicting 100% of the lineup...
However that is certainly good news about M83. I'm not totally convinced he'll be there but he would be amazing to see at the Gorge especially!
The Cave Singers will open on Death Cab's upcoming tour. Since they are already confirmed that should further solidify the rumour that Death Cab will be at 'Squatch.

Also where are you seeing that the Flaming Lips are playing Bonnaroo? As far as I can tell they aren't touring at all.

Tom, who is the sometimes reliable source about Weezer? That is awesome! Hope it happens!

Nine Inch Nails would be incredible. But I doubt it, since they played in 06. Then again, there was no Year Zero tour, and NA has been chomping at the bit for another NIN show...
But I just noticed those were the 06 dates. So yeah. NIN + Flaming Lips = no.

Wiki now says Justice and Metric are playing Sasquatch. However, I bet there is 0% credibility behind this. Metric wouldn't surprise me though. Justice would.

Wikipedia also added Jack Johnson, The Kinks, Schoolyard Heroes, Modest Mouse, The Kooks, Uffie, R.E.M. and 65 days of static...... Now, Travis Hay got insider info that Jack Johnson wouldn't be there, but who knows.....The Kooks, R.E.M., Modest Mouse and 65 Days of Static are basically confirmed. I can't find anything that supports The Kinks playing, their unofficial says they're playing a farewell gig in the UK on May 24th. Schoolyard Heroes is local, a possibility, but their music is more Warped Tour, but still possible, no confirmation. I'm not familiar with Uffie, but she is labelmates with Justice, no confirmations that I've seen for either. What do people know? I have found that Wikipedia has been fairly accurate with Sasquatch! over the years......

Oh man... I think that looks like some random Wiki editing to me... though I would love seeing The Kinks. FR.

Anyone can edit Wiki. I could go over there right now and say Jesus Christ is playing, and it would be up there. But I don't want to because I don't want my IP address to be banned.

That's true, but like you said you don't want your IP address to be banned. I'm not saying that it is totally accurate because obviously I don't know if it is, but Wiki has been accurate so far...... so I guess we'll see...... if someone is just editing for the heck of it why stop with those bands, why not make it outrageous!

Well it's become very obvious to me that nobody has a sniff of who is headlining the third night. Insider information, reliable sources........it really means nothing to me now. My prediction....just because EVERYONE says it won't happen: Jack Johnson AND Radiohead. My cat told me, and I trust his opinion about as much as all the inside scoops right about now.

Just checked out Wikipedia and the list now shows: 2008 The Cure, The Breeders, Fleet Foxes, David Bazan, Gang of Four, The Cave Singers, Ozomatli, 65daysofstatic Schoolyard Heroes Justice Metric Don't know if maybe I was just in a different article or if i was changed. Interestingly though Justice and Metric remain on the list. But it doesn't even have R.E.M. of Modest mouse.. All in all i wouldn't look into it too much.

Because Justice and Metric are believeable acts. If someone went on and added Metallica, The Beatles, Michael Jackson and Liza Minelli, not many people would believe that. Some people get thier kicks out of doing stupid stuff like that. And wiki won't ban their IP adress for adding false info like that. The person could claim they were "misinformed."

You might be right. I was just trying to point out that so far the list has been accurate so it was worth a look. I am certainly not putting much stock in it, I'm not even adding it as a rumor to the blog at this point. Everything will be sorted out Monday.........

Well, if we get someone "edgier", I can see them booking SYH for a show either opening the Mainstage (don't scoff, local bands have before) or to close out one of the other stages. Sure they're a different sound, but they're getting hugely popular.
It wouldn't shock me to see the winner of Sound Off there this year.

Take this for what it's worth. Queens of the Stone Age don't have any dates listed for May, but as of next week it will be announced that they will be performing in Victoria, BC on May 1st. So yeah, there's something for the rumour mill.
In June they'll be in Germany.

Much as I'd freaking love that, I wouldn't bank on it. That's a 3 week gap of doing nothing or touring just to get back where they started.

www.livenation.com/artist/getArtist/artistId/134588/Frog Eyes in Vancouver with Destroyer on the 31st? I mean, Frog Eyes are from Victoria, but.... maybe at Sasquatch too (noticet that this is a Live Nation posting). Aside from Destroyer, my other favourite band is Frog Eyes (and they were in my original lineup guess too).
