What's even more hilarious is that Cactus Club, Joey's and Earls all share the same or partial ownership.

Ah yes, the illusion of choice. Second only to planned obsolescence on the toolbox of consumerism.

The menus are just as similar as the decor. I used to date a girl whose dad was a big time chef and he designed the menus for both Earls and Joeys. Pretty funny. He opened his own place in Calgary, Notables. It is unreal. About a million times better than any of the cookie cutter places.

You date some pretty prestigious ladies, Mr. W!
My sister was going on about that "Call Me Maybe" girl the other day, and I had a huge ah-hah moment when I realized she was the same girl you were talking about the other day.

Phew! Luckily Charleston doesn't have any places like that. Since Charleston restaurants love having the historic vibe, we don't really have to worry about those. And pretty much all fancy Charleston restaurants are in said historic houses that are already classic Charleston decor. One of the things I love about Charleston.

I'm sad I'm going to miss what is undoubtedly going to the best BBQ of the entire BBQ season in Calgary this weekend.

Ugh.... rough day at work today. Pediatric calls are the worst. It's statements like these that remind me how lucky I am I only have to deal with stupid people at my job. I don't think I could handle a rough day like yours, Shax.
