A thread for all of the negativity and general "aww man, what the hell?" comments.
Ben Harper, AGAIN? That diva made me sit through two hours of his bullshit three years ago before the Flaming Lips played because he couldn't handle pushing his set time back. Fuck him, and fuck "Steal my kisses from you."
Jane's Addiction: I thought Lollapalooza-goers would have to suffer through that trite garbage, not us.
NIN: If you're going to repeat headliners, repeat good headliners.
Where are Band of Horses and The Black Keys? You guys really couldn't get the Black Keys this year? God damn, they put out an awesome record last year. They were played between every set on the main stage. They're playing every other festival this year.

Now I regret having gone to see NIN in Portland even more.

No Black Keys? No Ghostland? No Smoosh? No Minus The Bear? No Patrick Wolf? No Strokes reunion?
Janes effing Addiction? Who the heck cares? Same goes for NIN.
Ben Harper <Michael Franti
Erykah? Very good Sasquatch! Diverse? Yes... Only that is diverse. I am happy with that surprise.
I like the smaller bands. The headliners are all a bummer... KoL is decent though. Fridays lineup, headline wise, looks great for the main stage
EDIT: Erykah isn't as good as I thought. I want some great African band with 12 people.

I am sad that The ting tings, the shins and band of horses wont be there. I would love it if they were added. And I am very disappointed with the headliners. I thought they could have pulled some bigger and better names. OH well.

I still am holding on to some sort of hope that they might add headliners. I just can't believe that they would go so far downhill as compared to last year.

KOL headlining is disappointing, as is ben harper. i'll probably skip both of them. jane's addiction should be fun though. also very disappointed that beirut isn't coming back, and no band of horses. MGMT would have been an excellent addition to the dance tent. oh well, i'm sure we'll all still have a good time.

Yeah im depressed i got my hopes up and now they are crushed i was thinking that there was good chance that pearl jam would be there and they would bring ol' neil young along but that didn't happen apparently but yeah i agree with the general consensus on the board the headliners SUCK!
so whats the possibility of having PJ or Radiohead added on to the lineup in the coming months?

I am not totally bumbed by the line-up, but I just pray that there will be someone else there. I mean come on.... I was excited for N.I.N., but then I realized they werent a headliner. that means they will get like half the set of janes addiction right? Maybe the shins or MGMT or at least someone else should be there. It just seems like not that good of a lineup to me. Ben harper will be good.

Biggest disappointment for me is KOL headlining. Seriously, they are not headlining material in the US. Yeah, they can pull it off in Europe, but not here. No biggie, though. I'm stoked for nights 2 and 3. Will be skipping opening night.

So impressed with this lineup. Talking about headliners is like beating a dead horse, we have known who they are for almost a week now, and discussed them to no end. But, my only disappointment is there is seemingly no hip hop. I don't know some of these bands, so maybe there is a couple hip hop acts, but I was hoping for one or two notables.

Ben Harper <Michael Franti yea and that is saying ALOT i live in montana and on the road trip to sasq! was listening and loving michael franti but since the set he played last year i haven't turned his tunes on once. the only possible thing that made it bearable to get through was a whole hell of a lot of drugs and excitement for the next act i imagine much like most felt for ben harper (*sigh*) waiting for FLips but on a positive note hes the last act of the last day =) so no real reason to stay
