Wtf?? Everyone I was with was floored by the Joy Formidable's set. Y'all must have been way too peeled back during those sets. They were fantastic. We were sober! (Well, at least I was. Not sure about Ro). The guitar and bass sounded so muffled and the drum was quiet as hell. And on the jumbotron, it seriously looked lip synced. It was weird. Oh and the bass from Maine Stage didn't help either.

I wouldn't really count my opinion of SBTRKT though; I was just coming out of my afternoon blackout and I'm not sure I was even at the tent more than 10 minutes. I'll definitely be seeing him (her? them? it?) again if he's ever in town.

I just wish they had the drummer as well EDIT: But then again, I am fairly picky when it comes to EDM.

The Sasquatch stage sound quality can vary a hell of a lot depending on where you are. In my experience if you're sitting on the hill at a higher elevation than the speakers on the light poles, it's going to sound like utter shit most likely. Any point below that sounds pretty good, although the extreme left and right sides are an exception. We were sitting in an area that's across from the VIP bar at the bottom of the hill and The Joy Formidable sounded fantastic.

Also, the jumbotron always looks a little off from the hill because science (the speed of light > the speed of sound).

I didn't even get to meet Lumpy. I also met BeefyT at my brother's friends site. Hi Beefy! A really cool part of Sasquatch was when I met Davers at my campsite by chance and THE BOARD BECAME REAL ONCE AND FOR ALL. Next year I'll have to meet more of you guys! PS The Glowpocalypses were absolutely amazing!!

I loved how Beirut kept cracking up because they were so blown away by the view.
And yeah, that Cloud Cult set was perfect. I was right up front for it, and the instant their set ended I was pinned against the barrier by the hundreds of teenage girls trying to get up close for fun. So yeah I stayed for that because why the fuck not.

This year was by far better than last year. Sasquatch seals the deal as the best festival experience once again. So many people went so hard Thursday, and Friday was the craziest with STRFKR into Girl Talk into Pretty Lights. Saturday had a surprise cancelation, more STRFKR, 4 Dance Tent shows in a row, all crazy and high energy and sweat-rainy, and A night with the greatest guitarist in music today. Reignwolf, Active Child, and Trampled by Turtles proved to be very intimate and personal. And I was blown away by Beirut and Bon Iver on the hill. Feed Fucking Me. Fun. had the largest douche tool for a lead singer but he was surprisingly pitch perfect live. Ended the festival at the Silversun Pickups set to Lazy Eye. Great Year. But the Third time is the charm. See you guys next year! P.S who saw or knew people in my camp shown above? ^

Those speakers halfway up the hill desperately need to be replaced. I was convinced a few times that there wasn't even any sound coming out of them. Everything on the floor sounded top notch, but almost every artist sounded awful from the hill.

I sat on the hill for 90% of the day on Sunday, and the only time I really had any problems with the sound was during M. Ward.

Yea, M. Ward and The Shins in particular were suffering from massive sound issues. I finally got to see Phantom Limb live though so I was happy enough.

I was joking the entire Shins set that the girl guitarist isn't actually playing anything (mainly because I couldn't hear anything from her guitar til New Slang) and that the only reason she was in the band was because she was boning James Mercer.

Helena repruhzent! I was with two people from Helena as a matter of fact. Don't think we saw you though.
Yeah the upper speakers suck. They weren't on during Bon Iver until the second half of the set. Everyone jumped when they turned on finally.
