Hey everyone! What's the merchandise situation usually like at this thing. I'm hoping to buy a Childish Gambino shirt - do they usually have individual band's stuff for sale or do they just sell festival themed items? Where are they usually set up?
Any info is helpful.

They normally have a good amount of individual merch, theres normally two or three stands, you will see them as you make your way to the mainstage. The booths that do sell merch, sell for all the bands. Last year each one had slightly different items so if you don't see Childish Gambino shirts ask the worker or check the other booth. The items changed a little day to day as well.
All the merch is sold in these booths together with the festival themed shirts, posters, hoodies, etc..

I noticed, not surprisingly, that the t shirts for a particular band were usually only available the day that band played - so if you see something you like, snag it, 'cos it won't be there tomorrow...

That sucks but makes sense I suppose. I'll only be there one day (I know, lame) so that should work fine.

I always feel kind of lame if I wear a band's T shirt to one of their gigs but in this case it's acceptable I think

Wearing the shirt of the band to the show is tres gauche, but when the Residents come to town all bets are off.
Rz shirt, Rz sweatshirt, Rz hat. All in.

This is true, with the one exception of last year where Foo Fighters merch was available all weekend. I always hit up the merch stands first thing upon entering the venue, because any shirts that are remotely popular will be gone by the end of the day.

Don't you guys use the internet? SHOP ONLINE. Also more money goes to the band that way.

There's frequently quite a bit of band tour merch that isn't available online and only at the shows. For bands that I know I'll probably want to buy one of their shirts, I check their website before heading to the show and if I see something cool that isn't online, I buy it at the venue. Anything else I buy when I get home and it's usually cheaper by at least $5.

I always pick up a festival lineup t-shirt and a poster, plus whatever band shirts look cool. The prices are about what you'd expect at a typical show. Usually around $25 for a shirt and $40-50 for a sweatshirt. Headliner merch might be a bit more expensive.

They ran out super fast, went early Saturday to get a shirt and all the booths were out of the shirts I wanted.

If anyone is looking for a lineup shirt, the Sasquatch website has every color in every size currently, in case you missed out at the festival. I bought a Sasquatch shirt about 4pm on Friday and I know they sold out not even halfway through the weekend. I wanted a shirt for Alabama Shakes and The Head and the Heart but both had sold out in medium before I got to each booth. Luckily I was able to pick those shirts up at the bands' websites afterward.
