My friend wants to come with us but doesn't have a ticket yet (he's hoping to buy one when we get there). I'm wondering if he can get in the campground with us without a ticket?

No. You can't get into the campground without a ticket, and even if you do manage it (doob is correct: doubtful), they will not be welcome there.
Tickets are going for well below face all over the internet right now. Have your friend track one down before you head out there or tell your friend to stay home.

Tell your friend to find a ticket before he arrives. He will not be allowed in the campground without one, and there are tons of people selling.

Not really anymore. When there were separate tickets for each day you would see a lot more of that. Now that no one is allowed on the property without a ticket, the sellers make sure they sell beforehand.

Do people ever sell tickets there though? Yeah. Seriously, 100% no question about it -- do NOT roll up to the campground hoping to score a ticket. Your friend will be 150 miles from the nearest anything without anywhere to go. Your friend will be sad. And if you're disguising your actual question and trying to determine whether your friend will be able to sneak into the campground and just hang out all weekend without attending the show, the answer is absolutely not. Attempting this is likely to get your friend arrested, so don't bother. |
