I woke up before my alarm went off because I am excited about Sasquatch. That NEVER happens for me, and if it does I always fall back asleep again. I'm so gonna pass out on the second day for an 8 hour nap like I did last year. I'm pretty sure anything over 6 hours is just sleep.

Couldn't sleep either, but it's because of my stupid hip i think. As soon as I turned 26 shit started falling apart. That was about the age I felt like my body was starting to break down as well, but I work a very physically demanding overnight job so I think I was fucked either way. One more shift then I'm off for NINE days! I requested seven for Sasquatch but my boss tacked an extra day on either end of it.

I went from more or less completely issue-less to having multiple mystery injuries that won't go away. If it weren't for my ability to stay drunk for extended periods of time, I'm not even sure I'd be able to make it through Sasquatch right now.

Ahh so fucking close! What day of squatch are guys most excited about?? Although my favorite acts mostly aren't on Friday I get giddy with excitement thinking of girl talk to pretty lights and maybe some EITS thrown in there. And Saturday with Jack White to The Roots is going to be the tits meow. Gonna be kinda bummed about missing Wolfgang Gartner but I don't think I can miss any of Jack White's set. Welp, off to complete 3 projects by Thursday!..this whole graduating in three weeks thing with sasquatch thrown in the mix sure isn't helping me focus Saturday is going to be ridiculous. I'm seeing whatever in the first three hours, then Alabama Shakes -> Kurt Vile -> Childish Gambino -> Metric -> Tune-Yards -> St. Vincent -> Jack White -> The Roots. Sunday is kind of the weakest day in my opinion but it's still better than a lot of days in past years. Of course Friday and Monday will be incredible too. I've never been this excited about a Sasquatch lineup before. We're in for such a crazy weekend.

Well the panic has left me and the excitement is finally kicking in!! We leave tomorrow morning at 8am to start our adventure. I'm 90% packed and ready to go, just have to do some last minute things today and then I can relax!
Saturday is going to be the best day for me too. It has the most sets that I'm excited for! I agree that Sunday is lacking. Nothing that I really want to see is playing until 5 so it's going to be a lot of exploring until then!

I'm trying to come up with a list of things I expect to hear within the first hour of getting to the campground. I have so far: 1. Sublime 2. MGMT - Kids 3. Gotye

I heard that FUCKING Gotye song no less than a fifty times at Coachella. I have a feeling we'll be hearing a lot of "We Are Young" as well.

I already had a dislike for Gotye's song because of the ridiculous amount of radio play it's getting, but then the other day while pulling into the parking lot at the grocery store there was this stereotypical blonde bimbo girl in a Jeep BLASTING the song and singing out loud at the top of her lungs. That's when it crossed over into the "hate" category.

If you like electronic music the rest of that album is pretty awesome... just sayin.

Also if you like Peter Gabriel and Phil Collins.... and Sting... Gotye is like the product of some sort of weird 80's orgy

Don't you fucking dare lump Peter Gabriel in with Phil Collins and Sting.

I am not saying that Peter Gabriel is in anyway the same as Sting or Phil Collins, but if you mix those three together and grow them in Australia you get a Gotye....
What is wrong with Phil Collins anyways.... Props to anyone that can sing and drum at the same time. He's not my fav, but he's alright.
And the Police are awesome. Sting by himself, meh.

Peter Gabriel, in the 70's and 80's, bridged the gap between experimental and pop music more successfully than almost any artist that ever lived. Collins rode Gabriel's coattails all the way to the top by first commandeering Genesis and turning it into an adult contemporary monstrosity, and then pilfering the style of Gabriel's solo career while extracting any trace of intelligence or style from the music and lyrics.
Sting's Dream of the Blue Turtles is a classic, but if the muse ever left an artist so completely I don't know of it.

Just booked a hotel for Thursday night in Spokane. Found this sterling review about the place:
"We stayed here for over 2 weeks while moving to Spokane. It isn't the worst place on earth but it's not so great either. There are a lot of scary peope who live here ... yes live, like permanently. I assume they can't get an apartment because of criminal backgrounds or drugs or something shady They hang out on the walkway smoking all day at it feels kinda creepy The non-smoking rooms are all smoked in and the smoke still comes in through the vents in the kitchen and bath. The floors were so dirty we had to clean them ourselves because when you step out of the shower (there is no bathtub) little puddles of mud form around your feet. The rooms are small and the walls are thin, so enjoy your disgusting neighbors having sex all night. You get what you pay for I guess, it is cheap. If you have to stay here, just lock yourself in after dark."
Sounds like a gem! I AM FUCKING EXCITED ABOUT SASQUATCH!!
