I dig what yr sayin J-Dawg, but in this case specs be damned. The proof is in the pudding. The depth of sound on these fuckers is outrageous. I wanna make babies with them.

Despite Bose's reluctance to publish specs I love their stuff. Souly's been in my car, and she can vouch for how awesome that shit is. I'm more than willing to try out headphones, especially given how much time I spend on airplanes.

How badly I wish there were member interviews on this board.

I think I need to invest in a good pair of over the ear headphones. I recently purchased some Sony noise canceling headphones for about $40, and they sound pretty good, but don't cancel noise very well. I don't expect too much for that price. I have been avoiding the over the ear headphones because they are harder to pack, and I often sleep with them in, which is more difficult with over the ear. I have had horrible luck with earbuds. They just don't last for me. They either break right above the jack, or right below the bud. I had a pair of Bose earbuds break shortly after the 1 year warrantee was up. The Bose earbuds sounded excellent, but I could hear way too much background noise. I am now having trouble with my Monster Cable ear buds at about 1 1/2 years. I think they have a better warrantee though, so maybe I can get a new pair.

If I were rich I would get the Bose noise-cancelling 'phones, but I just have the regular Bose. Geno's got a friend with strong opinions about this I hear.

Mixed by BT - Laptop Symphony - Digital I still don't know quite what to make of this one. This is the first BT compilation album I've bought in a long time, and while it's good, it just feels strange to hear BT spinning dubstep. In other news, I ordered the other 2 new BT albums today from Amazon on CD: BT - If The Stars are Eternal so are You and IBT - Morceau SubrosaThese are both studio albums, so I have high hopes. If the Stars... is compared to one of his previous albums This Binary Universe, which has me excited since that's one of my favorite albums of his even if it's a little (OK a lot) off the beaten path in terms of EDM.

Fucking one day only 20% off sale, I wanted to buy everything, sadly I'm broke.
I left with:
Neil Young - Zuma (vinyl) - I've made it my goal to own every NY album on vinyl before I leave...not doing so well so far.

The Psychic Paramount completely blew me away tonight. I do not have words right now to properly describe how I feel after that show, but I can't sleep because I'm too fucking excited about this band, so I'm attempting the words anyways. I was in the very front row for only the third time in my life merely by luck, as I was getting high in the restroom 10 minutes prior to showtime as usual. People don't know about this band, but they should. To the people's credit, I talked to the bassist (whom I was standing directly in front of) after the show, and he told me that this was their first gig in Seattle (they're from NYC) in over 10 years of playing together. They certainly made up for lost time, as I had to use both hands to pry my jaw from the floor when they were through with their 50-minute set. While said bass-master was shaking my hand, he apologized to me specifically for the timeliness of the festival and for not being able to play another song, as he could see from my wicked dance moves that I was so eagerly craving. I told him that another song might have melted me completely into a puddle on the floor, and I wasn't exaggerating. Fans of high-energy guitar and drum rock need to check this band out immediately. Phenomenal, phenomenal stuff, and they are playing a rare Portland gig on Monday at some place called Mississippi Studios. Just imagine being in the front row for this: FUCK YES So this band played another last minute gig in my town last night. Imagine the same phenomenon, except with way more fog machine, and replace bass-master with guitar-master. He sold me: The Psychic Paramount - II (vinyl) at a discounted price because of previously stated wicked dance moves. How often do dance moves get you a discount on records? Not very often. It feels good.

Got my vinyl re-issue of Sugar's Copper Blue and Beaster in the mail today. Great packaging and both sound beautifully fresh. Copper Blue is one of my favourite albums of all time. The package also came with a bonus live show from The Metro in '92 and it is sweet as fuck as well.
Also picked up The Gaslight Anthem. One listen in and it sounds pretty good. Better than American Slang anyways
