Acquired at Xmas David Bowie - ★ In addition, my wife signed me up for 6 months of www.vinylmeplease.com/. Next months release is Panda Bear - Person Pitch. The subscription also came with a $25 credit which I used to buy Fugees - The Score. Score! VMP is the bee's tits. The woodgrain version of Odelay they had a couple months ago is one of my favorite records in my collection. I wasn't really feeling the new Glass Animals they had after that (it's a decent album, just not a classic),so I swapped it out for that Fugees record. I know this might be board suicide, but I actually swapped out Person Pitch too. Sorry, I just don't dig the peebs.

Ha, I was actually considering using my swap on Person Pitch. How much time do I have to decide on that?
**edit** DERP: Deadline was yesterday. Guess not.

What the fuck. I didn't know you can do swaps. Just been accepting them as they come for damn near a year. I know this might be board suicide, but I actually swapped out Person Pitch too. Sorry, I just don't dig the peebs. I love Animal Collective, but haven't quite been able to get into his solo material. I don't mind having this album in my collection though.

You get one swap for every 3 months of your subscription. Month to month subscriptions don't qualify for any swaps. vinylmeplease.groovehq.com/knowledge_base/topics/swaps

What the fuck. I didn't know you can do swaps. Just been accepting them as they come for damn near a year. It depends on the plan you're on. The one month at a time plan can't do it, but the others can. 3 month subscription gets one swap, 6 month gets two, and yearly gets 4.

I don't think I will be spending much $$ on vinyl this year because my wife surprised me with the Gilead Media subscription for 2017. I will try and save some bucks here and there so I can have some trips to the record store but damn...18 releases in that subscription. Not cheap by any means.

New songs sound good? It was intense and vivid and beautiful. Just him with an acoustic, no microphone, staring at the floor most of the time, except for a brief scan of the crowd at the end of each song. There was a very specific face he would make during the vivid parts, but he kept it together and the set was excellent. The songs play like a diary from the time of his wife's death. They're amazing songs and I think it's going to be the best album he's ever made.

Picked up The XX over the weekend and I can't stop listening to it.
Being that I am planning two trips to Seattle in the next 3 months, this will likely be the last album that I buy for quite some time. Or so I say...

So my brother got me a copy of Nicolas Jaar's Sirens for Christmas and he finally brought it over tonight. I have never before seen a scratch off cover. I couldn't Dr. Garbanzoure out why in the hell it came with a nickel in it. I thought someone at the pressing plant dropped it in error, but then when I took it out of the slipcase I scratched the cover, and once again thought I fucked it up somehow. Nope. Great album to boot!
