Plus greatest Disney Hits, Snow White, some kind of album with just different kinds of birdcalls, and something called Superseal solely because the album art is incredible. Pictures to come. All LPs.

God fucking damnit, he had no such stash of LPs when I saw him. I've never even heard of those two collaborative albums. Ya best bring 'em over for some chops.

I'm spinning 'em now and they're excellent. Side B of the Trouble Books/MM record is a little fudged in a couple of spots, but I just moved my needle over the affected area and went back to loving it. I can't be that mad either, because it was the only copy of that particular one he had. The rest he had 4-5 of in a Whole Foods grocery bag behind the table.

SECRET GROCERY BAG FULL OF WONDERS
I had to leave during the headliner, otherwise I would have tracked him down and asked him to bequeath his treasures.

Not to rub it in Burrito but that trouble books collab is excellent. Haven't heard the Nate Scheible one but I might need to track it down.

Picked up Shaking the Habitual on vinyl. Comes with 3 LPs, 2 CDs, and 2 posters. They did a beautiful job with the packaging. Might post pics later.

Also, found an itunes gift card while cleaning my car. Bought Kendrick Lamar’s album. Had my first listen today, can’t believe I slept on that for so long.

What do you mean, yours came today? Did you pre-order from Rabid Records? Cuz we did, and we got an email last week saying that it wasn't going to ship until the last week of April due to shipping delays.

Cuz we did, and we got an email last week saying that it wasn't going to ship until the last week of April due to shipping delays. When I pre-ordered it I went through Amazon. The Knife’s website had a link to the label and a link for “local”. When I clicked on local it was directly to Amazon.

Well, that's fucking stupid. I don't understand this; it's been happening a lot lately. We pre-ordered that shit two months ago -- from the label -- and I know for damn sure it's sitting on shelves in record stores and obviously people who pre-ordered from other places are getting it... What the fuck is a 'pre-order', exactly, if people who fucking pre-order it are the lowest priority?
This happened with our vinyl copy of the new TMBG record. We joined the fucking fan club -- the highest tier of the fan club, which was not fucking cheap -- and the new LP was part of the membership package, but I sat around for two and a half weeks waiting for it to show up after I found it sitting on the shelf in Jackpot! downtown.
Seriously, what the fuck.

Speaking of pre-orders, I just got my copy of The Thermals' Desperate Ground yesterday and it's not even hitting stores until next Tuesday.
I love ordering from Saddle Creek. The pack your order with all kinds of shit. This time around I got the vinyl, a couple of posters, some band stickers, label stickers, a hand written note from someone at the label thanking me for ordering from them, a CD of their spring sampler and two sticks of Laffy Taffy. Same thing happened when I pre-ordered Rural Alberta Advantage. Great service and attention.
