The R.A.A. will rule the world in 2011. Haha. It would appear that they did not quite reach that predicted legendary status.

Fancy.

...which makes it approximately three centimeters larger than every other LP I own, and thus too large to fit inside a standard protective slipcase.
But still! Fancy!

I'm planning on getting up and to the record store (the first one) by 830 tomorrow... but first? Getting my girlfriends second degree burns treated in emergency
So far, a group of 8 kids fucked on e think this is a good place to party on a Friday night while their other friend who's having a reaction to the drugs gets bloodwork, and an older, presumably homeless guy who likes to smoke in hospitals. Good times!

Today was pretty good. Went to 3 different record stores and managed to get most of what I wanted.
David Bowie - The Stars (Are Out Tonight) (7" vinyl) The Notorious B.I.G. - Ready to Die (vinyl) Sub Pop 1000 (Vinyl) Tame Impala - EP (Vinyl)
Might head out again in a bit and pick through the scraps.

Well, I don't know why that other pic didn't poooost, but I got theeese
Stephen Malkmus and Friends - Can's Ege Bamyasi Thee Oh Sees - Moon Sick
Didn't even know the latter existed. Apparently for some reason, it wasn't on the official list, and my local record store only got 2 copies in. It's 4 outtakes from the Floating Coffin sessions. I really wish I could hurry up and get my record player fixed and lissssten to these.

Nice to see all you fine folks gettin' somma that sweet stuff.
I didn't end up buying any exclusive records. Had a copy of Lawn Boy in my hands for about 2 minutes but I put it back because it was $50. Then I went kind of crazy with inclusive records:
Animal Collective - 'Applesauce' b/w 'Crimson' 10" Lotus Plaza - The Floodlight Collective LP Lotus Plaza - Spooky Action at a Distance LP (OBSESSED with Lotus Plaza) Mountains - Centralia 2xLP Sigur Ros - Með suð í eyrum við spilum endalaust 2xLP Sigur Ros - Valtari 2xLP Sun Ra - Space is the Place 2xLP Swans - The Seer 3xLP Thee Oh Sees - Floating Coffin LP
Everyday Music on Capitol Hill has replaced the dearly beloved but recently fallen Easy Street at Queen Anne as my favorite record store in Seattle. They are almost too good. I had this big ol' list, and without even searching very hard everything was just poppin' out at me. Except for the Knife. The Knife were nowhere to be found yesterday. After I paid, they put it all in this grocery-style polypropylene black bag that says 'THE BEATLES' on it with like 6000 (shitty) free CD's and I was like "ohhhh yes".
