There were a couple of real bargains in there. I got that Lagwagon boxset from a local record store for $60 on boxing day, You must be a big Lagwagon fan. I have a strong feeling they will be on every festival lineup this year. You'll get to see them more than you want to. I am a big Lagwagon fan. They are one of the only punk bands from my youth that I have hung onto. Joey Cape is a great singer, and as a band, they are musically solid. Their live shows are a lot of fun and I would have no issues seeing them on a couple of lineups.

Man, when Borders was phasing out their music department they sold everything for 50% off. I made out big time when that happened. I guess it's different with Easy Street since they can just move the leftovers to the other location. It'll be a sad sad day if/when the west location closes. Maybe they would just expand the cafe into the CD side?

They recently signed a 15-year lease over there, thankfully.

Jesus. That's kind of scary actually. I can't even imagine what the music business will look like in 15 years.

Went to Easy Street today in W. Seattle (I guess that may have been obvious which one I went to) and picked up Daphni - Jiaolong. I didn't listen to this album until after picking it up and I gotta say this needs to happen at Sasquatch! So rad.

Sweet-ass green vinyl mastered at 45rpm? Mmmmmhmm. Listened to that shit over the weekend, sounds so damn good. Seriously I'd pay twice as much for 2xLP sets of standard-length albums mastered at 45rpm, especially when it's shit that's more uptempo like Primus or this Caribou record that I got the other day. It makes a surprising difference in sound quality.

Prior to yesterday I only owned Sailing The Seas Of Cheese and that is the only Primus album I knew. I agree with the 2xLP standard length albums mastered at 45rpm. My copy of In Rainbows is like that and it is so tasty.

And by 'probably', what I mean is that we were up until 4:00am playing Mario and listening to Kraftwerk.
