Yah, isn't international waters like the lawless zone? I thought that was why people took cruises in h first place.

I'm all about torturing yourself during music festivals, but this sounds like a completely different and completely awesome way to do a festival. And with food included, I feel like the cost isn't that bad. I don't think it'll be filled with rich douchebags - honestly, it'll be filled with people like Stamper and Cat, I bet. Music fans who have to save up to take trips. If it were, like, Green Day headlining, or Skrillex, different story. Pulp's not going to attract a bunch of douchebags.

Also, Audrey's aunt does like 6 cruises a year and sneaks on a shitload of weed and alcohol, and not in her anus as far as I understand.

Pulp's not going to attract a bunch of douchebags. When I think Pulp, I think pomposity. And when I think pomposity, I think douchebags. Just sayin'. I imagine there will be douche and non-douche alike cruising amongst the common people, like all festivals.

You do not want to be caught in international waters with illegal drugs... bad plan all around. There is a very entertaining thread on the Coachella forum about how to smuggle drugs on to the boat. There's really only one (uncomfortable) way mentioned. I agree! If I wouldn't bring it on an airplane I sure as hell would not bring it on a boat that goes internationally. Sooo, I sneak weed on planes basically every time I fly. It's easy as pie as long as you check your bags and aren't flying out of like Miami or Texas. However, I got F'd in the A when I snuck the reefer onto a cruise. They lured Burrito off the boat along with a group of others for a "random" search when we docked in Canada. This group quickly realized that they all had one thing in common... Some kind of drug related offense on their record. So they sent like 8 Canadian cops and a dog to our little room, found the joints and proceeded to arrest me for "smuggling drugs into a foreign country" (at which time I shat my pants). They led me off the boat, interrogated me for awhile, then after realizing what I did for work they let me go and flagged my passport. So now whenever I go to Canada I get searched and they can refuse my entrance if they think I'm sketchy. It was a pretty big bummer to be weedless a week later at the flaming lips show in BC but a nice Canadian dude ended up sharing his J with me.

No horses, just dogs. Would have been sweet if they had mounted their dogs though.

Last Bruise Cruise the lineup was: Fucked Up King Khan and the Shrines Thee Oh Sees The Soft Pack The Dirtbombs Quintron and Miss Pussycat Mikal Cronin The Togas (Ty Segall, Philip Sambol of the Strange Boys, and more playing covers selected by Bruise Cruise attendees) Vockah Redu Neil Hamburger Jello Biafra Kyp Malone AKA the most fun cruise ever.

I admire your moxy and courage to no end on this one as I would no doubt black out in a cold sweat of massive anxiety only to find myself awakened at the foot of the nearest police man with a signed confession and detailed map of where my stash is at. ... but as easy as it may be I don't know how much we should "endorse" this practice. Sharing experiences is one thing but I wouldn't want any one to get busted and have their life fucked from us giving a seal of approval. Have you ever had dogs sniffing the checked baggage conveyor belt before? Or is this a Canadian thing? PS - I know you weren't telling everyone to be smugglers I'm just being cautious.

This is how I feel crossing the border even when I know that I have absolutely no reason to be nervous.

Indeed FD. Please don't be smugglers people. Even if other people find it "easy", it is undoubtedly an extremely risky practice. Don't ruin your fucking lives kids.

I certainly don't want any blood on my hands, if anyone got caught I would obviously feel terrible. Any time you do anything illegal you assume risk and have to make that decision for yourself.
After 9/11 congress mandated a major increase in bomb sniffing dogs at airports. It is rare for drug dogs to be in airports because that is funded through the DEA rather than TSA/Homeland Security. Homeland security received over 36 million to get bomb sniffing dogs into airports and those are what you see walking over luggage on conveyor belts, unless you are in a high drug trafficking airport- and even then it's usually a sting operation with a target in mind.
